Jenson Button Set for DTM Debut at Hockenheim: 2009 F1 Champion to Drive Honda NSX in Crossover Event with Super GT
Jenson Button, the 2009 Formula 1 world champion, is set to make his first appearance in the DTM series at Hockenheim this October. He will be behind the wheel of the only Honda car participating, as the championship integrates with Super GT.
Button is set to compete in the last two races of the DTM season with Team Kunimitsu, piloting a Honda NSX. Honda, along with Lexus and Nissan, have confirmed they will each field a car for the Hockenheim round before the Japanese race in November.
Jenson Button, who won the Formula 1 world championship in 2009, is set to debut in the DTM series at Hockenheim this October. He will be driving the only Honda car participating in the event, which is part of a collaboration between the DTM championship and Super GT.

After stepping away from Formula 1 at the close of the 2016 season, Jenson Button made a brief comeback at the 2017 Monaco Grand Prix. He then directed his attention to Super GT, securing the championship with Naoki Yamamoto in the previous year. Additionally, the British driver competed in the FIA World Endurance Championship with SMP Racing during 2018.
Button is presently in fifth place in the Super GT rankings, with three races left in this season.
