Isack Hadjar: Red Bull’s Rising Star Poised for 2025 F1 Seat?
Is Red Bull's newest young talent in line for a 2025 RB position?
"He's certainly building a compelling argument for his inclusion next year"
Christian Horner emphasizes that Isack Hadjar is in the running for a permanent race position in Formula 1 with Red Bull Racing.
The co-pilot position next to Yuki Tsunoda at Red Bull's affiliate squad is still available, as Daniel Ricciardo's next steps have not been finalized.
Red Bull boasts a rich roster of skilled individuals, among them Liam Lawson, who notably filled in for Ricciardo at AlphaTauri the previous year.
However, Hadjar has moved himself further up the line.
Last Friday, the 19-year-old from France took the wheel for RB during the first practice session at Silverstone.
On Sunday, he showcased an outstanding performance, leading from the start to clinch victory in the Formula 2 feature race.
Hadjar has taken the top spot in the F2 championship, surpassing competitors including Ollie Bearman, who is set to join Haas in the coming year.
The head of the Red Bull racing team was queried about the possibility of Hadjar securing a Formula 1 position by 2025.
"Horner mentioned, "He's performing well. He enjoyed a successful weekend."
It's a pleasure to witness Isack and Arvid Lindblad triumph in the Formula 3 race today, showcasing their exceptional skills as emerging stars.
"Once more, he's presenting a compelling argument for his inclusion next year, which explains our lack of urgency in confirming positions within the affiliate team."
When asked if Hadjar could realistically secure the second RB seat, Horner responded, "There's always a possibility."
Hadjar secured his third F2 feature race win of the year at Silverstone in 2024.
He has previously remarked on his rise: "My fascination was always with cars rather than the racing aspect, largely due to the film 'Cars'."
"Most of my family, including my grandparents and parents, work in the medical or physics fields, so they don't have any direct connection to motorsport. However, my father has always been a fan of Formula 1 races, and that's about the
Growing up, my passion for F1 racing, which began at six, inspired me to pursue go-karting. Recognizing my interest, my parents gifted me a go-kart when I turned seven.
My passion for racing developed naturally on its own.
"My goal is to become a Formula 1 champion, and I look up to Ayrton Senna and Lewis Hamilton as my motorsport idols."
