Hong Kong Firms FansWave, Farmacy, and Allied Environmental Consultants Eye Middle East Expansion: Agreements Signed at Belt and Road Summit
Hong Kong businesses specializing in social marketing and urban agriculture are set to expand into the Middle East. Local companies FansWave, Farmacy, and Allied Environmental Consultants have formalized deals with a UAE investment firm during the Belt and Road Summit.
Businesses in Hong Kong are exploring opportunities for expansion outside their city, with some, such as the social Wi-Fi network FansWave, setting their sights on the Middle East.
A dozen years following its establishment in Hong Kong, the marketing firm is broadening its reach to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by collaborating with Access Group International, a consultancy and investment company.
The Middle East offers abundant prospects, and this is merely the beginning of FansWave's worldwide growth, according to co-founder and COO, Decem Yuen Ching-zhi.
The collaboration between Access Group International and FansWave was among the 25 deals inked at the Belt and Road Summit in Hong Kong, which took place on Wednesday and Thursday. Additionally, two other Hong Kong-based firms, Allied Environmental Consultants Group and the agritech firm Farmacy, entered into partnership agreements with Access Group International to broaden their reach in the Middle East.
FansWave is a service that enables companies to provide complimentary Wi-Fi to their clients, in return for useful consumer information. Customers log in with their social media profiles, offering demographic details that help the company grow its social media following and target clientele with special deals and ads, both during their Wi-Fi use and afterwards.
