Gioacchino Vino, the lead aerodynamics expert for Mercedes, is preparing to leave the squad.
Vino's six-year tenure at Mercedes is coming to an end, prompting a reorganization within their aerodynamics team.
In a distinct move, Loic Serra and Jerome d'Ambrosio will be departing from Mercedes to join Ferrari.
However, Mercedes has brought on board two key personnel from Ferrari.
Simone Resta and Enrico Sampo are set to make a move from Maranello to Brackley.
Resta has been appointed as the Strategic Development Director at Mercedes, while Sampo will take on the role of Head of Performance Software Applications for the company.
Motorsport has revealed that an agreement between Mercedes and Ferrari will allow staff members to start working for their new companies starting October 1, 2024, ahead of the upcoming season.
Significantly, in 2025, Lewis Hamilton is set to transition from Mercedes to Ferrari.
Mercedes' technical chief James Allison spoke about the personnel changes happening at this weekend's F1 Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix.
"Allison mentioned, "I believe it's unnecessary for me to provide insights on motivation."
