From AlphaTauri to VCARB: Navigating the Identity Shift and Driver Dynamics in Formula 1’s Latest Rebranding Saga
Uncertainty somewhat resolved as Formula 1 team plans to rebrand in 2025
Distinct identity suggested for the upcoming year for existing Formula 1 team
The confusion surrounding the name change of a particular Formula 1 team for 2025 has been resolved.
Throughout this season, Red Bull’s affiliated team has been referred to by various names, including RB, Visa Cash App, Racing Bulls, and VCARB.
They expressed a plan to establish a distinct identity by 2025; however, this announcement led to some misunderstanding.
Racing Bulls or RB?
During the F1 Qatar Grand Prix, team principal Laurent Mekies clarified, “We are the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls team, not RB.”
It appears that they do not intend to be commonly referred to as Racing Bulls next year, after all.
At the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, CEO Peter Bayer admitted that they have faced some difficulties in effectively communicating the name of the team to the public.
"You've encountered numerous iterations. We introduced this back in January, and everything unfolded over the course of a few weeks."
"In the end, people are calling us the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls."
"Our company is called Racing Bulls. I've noticed that this name frequently appears in media from Germany, Austria, Italy, and France."
Individuals are having difficulty with the term "RB"; some are confusing it with Red Bull, while others are unsure of its meaning.
"We chose to make it clear by stating that in the future, you'll be seeing Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, abbreviated as VCARB."
Got it? Excellent. In 2025, the team will mostly be referred to as VCARB, despite their complete name being Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, which includes their main sponsor.
A year has passed since they changed their name from AlphaTauri in 2023.
2025 VCARB Driver Discussion
While the team seems to have finalized their name, the selection of drivers remains undecided.
This is due to the fact that they are anticipating a verdict concerning Red Bull, the team affiliated with them.
Red Bull is considering the possibility of parting ways with Sergio Perez, despite him having a contract that extends until 2025.
Should they decide to part ways, as all signs point to them doing, the drivers from their affiliated team, Liam Lawson and Yuki Tsunoda, are the likely candidates to take his place.
During the postseason test, Tsunoda was behind the wheel of a Red Bull car, despite reports suggesting that Lawson is the leading candidate for the promotion.
VCARB has expressed interest in offering a race seat to Red Bull junior driver Isack Hadjar in 2025, provided that one of their existing drivers is promoted to replace Perez.

Pierre Gasly: The Unsung Hero of F1 2024, As Praised by Guenther Steiner
Guenther Steiner highlights an F1 driver who excelled despite minimal resources.
"He achieved the most with the fewest resources…"
Guenther Steiner has recognized a Formula 1 driver who managed to perform well despite having a challenging car that didn't attract much attention.
During an episode of The Red Flags Podcast, the ex-team principal of Haas F1 was questioned about which individual or team achieved the greatest success with minimal resources in 2024.
The candidates included Zhou Guanyu, Pierre Gasly, Nico Hulkenberg, the Williams crew, and Max Verstappen.
Steiner quickly dismissed Zhou, who will not have a spot in F1 for the year 2025, by stating: "No, he hasn't achieved much! He performed well in one race. I have to acknowledge that he had one excellent race."
"As for the remainder, he didn't accomplish much."
"I'm standing with Pierre and the Williams mechanics, those unfortunate folks! They had a tough job ahead! They really went above and beyond."
However, Steiner chose his selection.
"I'll accompany the Alpine driver," Pierre stated.
Pierre Gasly receives praise for his remarkable performance in 2024. "He managed to achieve a lot despite limited resources," Steiner commented regarding Gasly.
"Despite having a terrible car, they managed to finish in sixth place, and it was all due to his efforts."
"David Sanchez, who has experience working with McLaren and previously with Ferrari, deserves the recognition."
David expressed that he possessed some understanding, suggesting that they should take a certain path to successfully conclude the season with a positive outcome.
"He was crucial, David."
Alpine secured the sixth spot in the constructors' championship, mirroring their performance from 2023.
This comes after a concerning beginning to the 2024 season, which has left Gasly and his teammate Esteban Ocon puzzled and expressing dissatisfaction with their vehicle.
Alpine had to manage a situation where their drivers crashed into each other during the Monaco race.
This marked the start of Ocon's departure, as he was let go and subsequently joined Steiner's former team, Haas, for the 2025 season.
Pierre Gasly will have Jack Doohan joining him as his new rookie teammate this season.
In a significant move, experienced F1 figure Flavio Briatore took on a high-level position at Alpine last year, with a clear focus on boosting the performance of the team, which is currently in the middle of the pack.

Inside Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari Transformation: The Key Figures Shaping His New Inner-Circle
Speculation surrounds Marc Hynes' involvement as Lewis Hamilton establishes a close-knit group within Ferrari.
Information emerges regarding the select group surrounding Lewis Hamilton.
Italian newspapers have reported information regarding the close associates of Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari.
Hamilton's move from Mercedes to Ferrari this year marks a significant shift in the world of Formula 1.
Hamilton will be joined by prominent new teammates such as Fred Vasseur and Charles Leclerc, while also working with a less visible team in the background.
Lewis Hamilton establishes a close-knit group within Ferrari. According to reports from Gazzetta, Marc Hynes is set to maintain his position as Hamilton's manager.
Hynes, who previously had a career as a racing driver, served as Hamilton's manager and was in charge of Project 44 between 2015 and 2021.
According to the Italian newspaper, Hamilton reconnected with his longtime friend a year ago, and their partnership is set to continue as the Ferrari chapter starts.
As Hamilton switches teams, he will be joined by additional team members who will collaborate with him.
According to the newspaper, he plans to employ at least one individual to handle communications and public relations outside the realm of Formula 1.
A photographer, fitness coaches, and security staff are said to be collaborating with Hamilton.
Hamilton shares a past connection with Ferrari's team leader, Vasseur. Their relationship dates back to Hamilton's early racing career, which Vasseur was partly in charge of.
Loic Serra, who oversees the chassis, and Jerome d'Ambrosio, the deputy team principal, have both transitioned from Mercedes to Ferrari, making them recognizable figures.
Lewis Hamilton's First Drive with Ferrari Approaches
This month, Hamilton is preparing to take the wheel of a Ferrari for the first time at the Fiorano circuit.
He is set to drive during a private test session. Additionally, reports suggest that Ferrari plans to bring him to Barcelona for additional practice laps.
Lewis Hamilton is expected to attend the official Formula 1 event at The O2 in London, where he will join representatives from all the other teams.
On February 19, just one day afterward, Ferrari is set to reveal their car for the 2025
Following a three-year period where Mercedes cars trailed behind Red Bull, Hamilton is hopeful about clinching a record-breaking eighth F1 championship this season with his new team.

Toto Wolff Rekindles 2021 F1 Controversy with Christian Horner ‘Entitlement’ Remarks
Toto Wolff reignites past tensions with Christian Horner by making a remark about "entitlement." Wolff noted, "Christian didn't say a single word…"
Toto Wolff has reignited discussions regarding the controversial 2021 F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Lewis Hamilton, representing Mercedes, missed the opportunity to secure a historic eighth Formula 1 championship during the closing moments of the season's last race.
The way Michael Masi, the race director, applied the Safety Car rule sparked controversy and allowed Max Verstappen to secure his first championship, marking the beginning of a successful period for Red Bull.
During an appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast, Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff criticized Christian Horner's Red Bull team. He noted that, apart from Max Verstappen, no one from the Red Bull side made any statement recognizing that it was a tough day for Mercedes. Wolff pointed out the lack of acknowledgment for Mercedes being worthy champions, despite the day's events not working in their favor.
"Neither Christian nor the team made any comment on that matter, which came across as a sense of entitlement."
Wolff suggests that Mercedes would have approached the situation in an alternative manner.
"We definitely would have mentioned it," he asserted.
Lewis Hamilton was unable to secure a record-breaking F1 championship title. Wolff maintains that the occurrences at the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix are still considered some of the most contentious in the history of sports.
"In many sports, it's likely because the referee clearly made a decision that wasn't in line with the official rules," he stated.
"There was no decision to be made; it wasn't mentioned in the rulebook."
Wolff mentioned, "According to a rigid reading of the rule, the cars must unlap themselves and then fall in at the rear."
"[At that point] we secure the championship. It's obvious. There aren't enough laps remaining. The race concludes with the Safety Car still in place."
The alternative scenario is that after the cars have unlapped themselves, there must be one additional lap completed before the race resumes under a green flag. In this case, we would secure the championship title.
"The third scenario is unusual and not according to the rules, yet we might have accepted it. It involves having a green flag lap without a Safety Car. In that case, Lewis would have emerged victorious since there were several cars separating him from the others."
"This wasn't included in the regulations."
Wolff elaborated on Masi's role, stating: "At that point, a decision was made to conclude the championship with a single lap. Allowing only some cars to unlap themselves was unprecedented."
"Each of the drivers earned the title of world champion."
After the conclusion of the 2021 season, Hamilton suggested he might retire.
After coming back, Mercedes endured a challenging and difficult two-year stretch.
Even though Hamilton broke his winless streak at Silverstone last summer, he has gone three years without having a car that consistently competes at the forefront.
This year, he switched from driving for Mercedes to joining Ferrari, with the goal of securing his long-sought-after eighth Formula 1 championship.

McLaren’s Growing Pains: How Missed Opportunities and Strategic Missteps Cost Norris the F1 Crown
McLaren criticized for missing opportunities in unsuccessful F1 championship attempt
"McLaren is still trying to establish itself"
A former mechanic from McLaren has pointed out the errors made by the team last year that negatively impacted Lando Norris.
In 2024, Norris was unable to surpass Max Verstappen from Red Bull in the race for the F1 drivers’ championship.
He was propelled by the quickest vehicle in Formula 1, with McLaren remarkably surpassing Red Bull in the race for advancements to claim the constructors’ championship.
Marc Priestley, who previously worked as a mechanic for McLaren, believes that the unsuccessful effort to unseat Verstappen is an important milestone in the pursuit of securing the team's first drivers' championship since 1998.
Priestley shared on the Fuelling Around podcast that, based on his own experiences, McLaren's success wasn't purely instinctive or effortless.
"Observers from the outside can see the achievements of Max and Red Bull, similar to what Mercedes accomplished in the past."
"You might wonder why McLaren, now equipped with an excellent car, can't consistently perform at the same level."
"However, you need to gradually work towards that goal."
Red Bull and Max have developed a strong track record marked by immense confidence and self-assurance. This allows them to swiftly and intuitively make decisions during races, often leading to successful outcomes.
"McLaren is in the process of regaining their footing and relearning the art of winning."
"It's odd to mention, but it's accurate: you need to develop the self-assurance required to make quick decisions."
Throughout this season, there have been several instances where McLaren likely missed out on scoring points. This often happened because they might have taken too long to make a decision.
Did mistakes by McLaren impact Lando Norris?
Last season, McLaren's decision not to designate a lead driver faced criticism.
The decision to give equal treatment to both Norris and his teammate Oscar Piastri faced criticism once it was evident that their more seasoned driver had a chance at winning the F1 championship.
The team's self-established Papaya Rules clearly outlined how grand prix victors Norris and Piastri ought to conduct themselves towards one another.
In the second part of the season, the strategy was adjusted to focus on Norris's goal of surpassing Verstappen.
However, their approach was closely examined, revealing errors during multiple stages.
At Silverstone, Norris had been in the lead until the last round of pit stops, when Lewis Hamilton managed to overtake him through a strategic pit maneuver and ultimately secured the victory.
In Brazil, following a 1-2 result in the sprint race, Norris, who started from pole position, ended up in sixth place after Verstappen passed him in the pits. Additionally, McLaren faced criticism for their communication.

Ferrari and Red Bull Neck-and-Neck: F1’s Sponsorship Battle Intensifies in 2025
The top five team sponsors in Formula 1 for the year 2025
It is said that Red Bull no longer holds the position of having the single largest sponsor.
According to reports, Ferrari has matched Red Bull in securing lucrative sponsorship deals for their Formula 1 team.
One year prior, Oracle's collaboration with Red Bull was the most significant team sponsorship in the racing circuit.
However, HP's new sponsorship deal with Ferrari has now matched the scale of that significant agreement.
Competitors Ferrari and Red Bull have secured substantial sponsorships in the Formula 1 arena. According to RacingNews365, Ferrari's partnership with HP and Red Bull's agreement with Oracle each hold a value of roughly $100 million annually.
Oracle, a company specializing in computer technology, asserts that during the 2024 season, Oracle Red Bull Racing conducted over 150 billion simulations of race strategies using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
HP, a global tech firm, joined Ferrari last year just in time for Lewis Hamilton's debut as a prominent driver in 2025.
The main sponsor of the renowned Scuderia additionally allows them to provide technology to the Formula 1 team.
According to reports, Aramco is expected to be the third largest sponsor of a team in Formula 1 by 2025, thanks to their collaboration with Aston Martin
Aramco, a government-owned oil firm from Saudi Arabia, is also a sponsor of Formula 1 racing.
The logos of their brand are displayed on the cars driven by Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll, as well as at several racetracks hosting grand prix events.
In the previous year, they became the exclusive title sponsor for the Aston Martin F1 team.
According to reports, Petronas ranks as the fourth largest team sponsor in 2023, thanks to their ongoing partnership with Mercedes.
Petronas, an oil corporation from Malaysia, has become closely associated with Toto Wolff's Formula 1 team.
Stake, known for sponsoring Sauber, is said to rank as the fifth largest team sponsor in 2025.
The Australian firm, which had earlier supported Alfa Romeo, took their involvement up a notch in 2024 by stepping in as Sauber's official title sponsor.

Ferrari’s Bold Move: Lewis Hamilton Set to Reclaim Top Spot as F1’s Highest Paid Driver
Top-Earning F1 Driver Takes No. 1 Spot
Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen Rank Among Highest-Paid Competitors
Lewis Hamilton is expected to reclaim his position as the top-paid driver in Formula 1 this year.
His transition from Mercedes to Ferrari is expected to elevate him beyond Max Verstappen.
According to a report by Forbes, Hamilton is set to break a "salary record" with his contract with Ferrari for the year 2025.
Charles Leclerc, his new colleague, is set to receive a significant salary increase in 2025, following the contract he signed last year.
Top Earners Among F1 Drivers
For many years, Hamilton dominated the rankings of F1 driver earnings.
Lewis Hamilton's wealth continues to increase thanks to his lucrative endorsement deals and substantial earnings from his racing career.
In the previous year, Max Verstappen from Red Bull, who has a long-term contract with his team, slightly surpassed his salary.
Verstappen earned significantly more than Hamilton due to bonuses he received for winning races and the championship.
In 2025, Hamilton's new contract with Ferrari will bring about significant changes.
The team's dedication to Leclerc indicates that they are heavily investing in their pair of drivers.
McLaren's team includes high-earning drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
Sergio Perez, who ranked as the eighth-highest earner last year, will be substituted by Liam Lawson for Red Bull this season.

Ferrari’s Bold New Era: Lewis Hamilton’s 2025 Car Unveiled with Striking Livery and Technical Innovations
New Insights into the Unique Ferrari Design for Lewis Hamilton's Vehicle
Emerging information reveals the distinctive appearance of Lewis Hamilton's debut Ferrari.
Lewis Hamilton's inaugural Ferrari is said to have a striking and innovative design.
Hamilton has transitioned from Mercedes to Ferrari, capturing the attention of the entire Formula 1 community. As the sport's most accomplished driver joins its most successful team, anticipation is high.
According to Auto Racer, Hamilton’s car for the 2025 season will feature "a deeper hue of red."
The notable modification to the design will mark a distinct departure from the last two versions of Ferrari's Formula 1 vehicles.
Nonetheless, it won't be as daring as the 'Rosso Mugello'—the unique paint scheme debuted during the 2020 Tuscan Grand Prix, where Ferrari showcased a deeper red than typical.
Ferrari is set to reveal the 2025 Formula 1 car designated for Lewis Hamilton. This month, Hamilton is anticipated to drive a Ferrari for the inaugural time during a private testing session at Fiorano.
According to reports, the new team has reserved the Barcelona track to allow their driver to get more practice in his new vehicle.
Formula 1 is set to hold an official kickoff event at The O2 in London on February 18, featuring all participating teams.
One day afterward, Ferrari is set to formally reveal their newest competitor.
Currently, Hamilton's initial Ferrari is referred to by the code name Project 677.
Hamilton is set to officially drive his Ferrari during the start of the Formula 1 preseason in Bahrain on February 26.
Loic Serra, who used to work with Mercedes, is the mastermind responsible for designing Ferrari's car for the 2025 season.
According to reports, Serra and Hamilton share a strong bond that dates back to their time together in Brackley.
Reports originating from Italy, the birthplace of the renowned Ferrari, indicate that the 2025 model will feature a modified wheelbase and an updated gearbox.
Adjustments would focus on controlling weight with the aim of addressing the tire problems that troubled Ferrari in the previous year.

From Near-Tragedy to True Love: How a 189mph Crash Led Toto Wolff to Meet Susie Wolff
Toto Wolff describes the 189 mph crash that almost cost him his life and how it resulted in his encounter with Susie Wolff. Toto Wolff remembers the terrifying collision at the Nurburgring.
A collision at 189mph that put Toto Wolff's life in danger ultimately resulted in him crossing paths with his future wife, Susie Wolff.
The head of the Mercedes team has recounted the notorious story of his frightening crash in 2009.
While driving a Porsche 911 RSR at the infamous Nurburgring track, 37-year-old Wolff's effort to complete a lap in under seven minutes nearly resulted in a catastrophe.
He mentioned on the Armchair Expert podcast that the track had an older surface instead of fresh asphalt, making it more hazardous and uneven.
"It was extremely perilous. There's truly nothing comparable to it."
"I was acquainted with Niki Lauda, who experienced his accident in Formula 1 at that location. That's where he suffered burns."
He asked, "What's the point of this? It's ridiculous. No one is interested in what you accomplish at the Nurburgring!"
"I found myself experiencing a mid-life crisis!"
During a warm-up lap, the vehicle behaved strangely, and the tires seemed to be disintegrating.
"It wasn’t a professional way to handle things. I thought to myself, even though I was aware there was a problem with the car, I'll take a shot at it anyway."
"During that particular attempt, the car was ahead by 15 seconds. It could have achieved a time of 6.40 or possibly 6.35."
"Currently, a decent time is approximately 6.20, yet this was the situation 15 years ago, and the track has since changed significantly. Sections that are now level were not so back then."
"The vehicle seemed strange. I mentioned, 'I will just complete the lap.'"
"I experienced a flat tire while driving through the riskiest section, reaching a speed of 189 mph."
"I veered into the guardrail after my rear right tire got punctured. The car flipped onto its roof, but fortunately, it didn't crash into the forest. I skidded for 250 meters before coming to a halt."
"I brought the car to a halt as it was nearly out of gas. I assumed everything was fine."
"They discovered me lying on my back behind the guardrail, still wearing my helmet, as if I were asleep. I don't remember any of it."
Feeling both stunned and energized, I managed to exit the vehicle. I was suffering from a severe concussion.
"I was discovered in a state of unconsciousness. Emergency responders placed me in an ambulance and transported me to the nearby hospital while I was on oxygen."
"The concerning part was a pain in my back and a tingling sensation in my legs. I realized that Niki had been correct."
"I was placed in an X-ray machine and asked a nurse if my spine was injured."
She stated, "I do not have the authorization to provide you with that information."
"I continued to experience tingling sensations. When the doctor examined me, they mentioned that my spinal cord was fine, but I had compression fractures, and one of my eyes was turning inward."
The story of how Toto Wolff and Susie Wolff crossed paths began with Toto ignoring medical advice. Despite being advised against it, he boarded a plane back to Vienna, ensuring it flew at just 10,000 feet to prevent any strain on his eye.
He struggled with insomnia because of dizziness. He lost his senses of smell and taste, and when they came back, everything had a cardboard-like flavor.
He experienced an injury to his nerves.
However, this resulted in him meeting the woman who would become his wife, who was also a racing driver.
Wolff mentioned that she was participating in a fitness camp alongside other drivers from Mercedes.
"I was an investor in the touring car team, though we were not acquainted."
There was talk going around that Toto was involved in a severe accident.
"She reached out to me, and that's how everything began…"
"She inquired about my well-being, which led to a conversation. We ended up speaking on the phone for thirty minutes."
In 2011, Toto and Susie exchanged vows and became husband and

McLaren’s Moment: 2025 as the Pivotal Year for F1 Glory Amid Looming Regulation Shake-Up
McLaren cautioned about "rare opportunity" for F1 championship
"2025 might be McLaren's significant opportunity…"
A former mechanic has cautioned that McLaren has a unique chance to compete for the Formula 1 drivers' championship in 2025.
Lando Norris was unable to secure the championship last season, even though he managed to narrow the gap between himself and the ultimate winner, Max Verstappen from Red Bull.
However, McLaren clinched the constructors' championship and finished the year with the quickest car in Formula 1, which looks promising for the upcoming season.
Marc Priestley explained on the Fuelling Around podcast that while it might seem as though they've only just gotten started, the recovery process has actually been underway for the past five or six years.
The organization has been establishing a new leadership framework, implementing fresh procedures, and essentially revitalizing itself from within.
"I still maintain many friendships within the company. I've been frequently visiting and leaving the organization recently, so I've observed this unfolding. It's not shocking to me."
In my view, the most thrilling aspect is that we essentially have identical cars and the same regulations. It's clear that they are performing at their peak. For McLaren enthusiasts, the year 2025 promises to be particularly intriguing.
In the previous season, Norris secured the second spot in the drivers' rankings, while his teammate Oscar Piastri ended up in fourth place.
Will McLaren Take Over F1?
The current season marks the last one before significant rule modifications come into play, potentially setting the stage for a new period of dominance akin to that of Red Bull or, earlier, Mercedes.
Former McLaren mechanic, Priestley, has advised his old team that the best opportunity to make their move is at present, as the performance of their car is assured.
Priestley stated: "The year 2026 marks the most significant technical transformation in the history of Formula 1."
"The vehicles and their engines will be different, so predicting what will happen in 2026 is somewhat uncertain."
"It's uncertain who will end up being the winner."
The conclusion is that 2025 might be McClaren's significant opportunity, perhaps their sole opportunity for some time, and they must capitalize on it.
"Usually, the major teams continue to dominate. However, Aston Martin is quietly making strides, backed by Adrian Newey and a talented team of engineers, supported by substantial financial resources."
"It's clear that Williams is working on developing something impressive. Who can say for sure?"
A significant change in regulations presents a chance for nearly everyone, especially since we are currently in a period with budget constraints that create a more even playing field.
"Anyone has the potential to excel and rapidly advance in rank."

Max Verstappen’s Future in Doubt: Could Red Bull’s Reign Be Over?
Jos Verstappen raises worries about Max's future with Red Bull
"A switch remains a possibility…"
Jos Verstappen has not dismissed the possibility of his son, Max Verstappen, leaving the Red Bull team.
Max begins the year 2025 with the goal of winning his fifth straight F1 championship, fully aware that this challenge is more difficult than
Despite holding onto the 2024 championship through a string of impressive performances, McLaren managed to substantially narrow the lead that Red Bull once held.
This suggests that Verstappen could consider other options in his search for the most competitive vehicle.
According to Sky Germany, Jos, his father, reportedly said, "Anything can happen."
"He can continue with Red Bull if it seems worthwhile to him."
"His aim is to achieve race victories. If he believes that staying with Red Bull no longer allows for this, he is open to switching teams."
Red Bull acknowledged their defeat in the constructors' championship to McLaren, and ended up in third place, trailing behind Ferrari as well.
In 2025, McLaren's drivers, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, along with a rejuvenated Ferrari team featuring Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, will aim to dethrone Verstappen as the champion.
His father expressed concern, stating that Red Bull needs to design a car that is easier to handle.
Examining the latter half of 2024, it's difficult to maintain a positive outlook.
"In 2025, Red Bull faces a significant challenge."
Is Max Verstappen planning to leave Red Bull? Last year, there were reports that Mercedes showed interest in Verstappen. Toto Wolff, the team principal, discussed the potential of bringing him on as a replacement for Lewis Hamilton.
At that moment, Verstappen found himself entangled in the internal turmoil at Red Bull, which also involved his father, Helmut Marko, and Christian Horner.
Horner and Wolff exchanged sharp remarks regarding the Mercedes leader's open interest in Verstappen.
George Russell and Kimi Antonelli have officially been announced as a dynamic new driving team for Mercedes. The team is optimistic about the 2026 season, anticipating a strong performance under the new F1 regulations. Rumors around the paddock indicate that Mercedes may have developed a highly coveted engine.
Verstappen might find Aston Martin to be an interesting choice.
The team aims to gain an early advantage in the 2026 era by hiring renowned car designer Adrian Newey, a move that could capture Verstappen's attention.

Fernando Alonso’s Anticipated 2025 Comeback: Will the F1 Legend Clinch His 33rd Win?
Exciting F1 2025 forecast is promising news for Fernando Alonso
Is Fernando Alonso's long-awaited 33rd victory on the horizon?
Fernando Alonso has gained some encouraging support, suggesting that his extended period without an F1 grand prix victory will conclude in 2025.
This year marks the beginning of Alonso's 21st season in Formula 1, having already competed in 400 grand prix races.
Since 2013, while racing for Ferrari, Alonso has not been able to increase his total of 32 grand prix victories.
Is Fernando Alonso set to clinch his 33rd Formula 1 victory in 2025? Experts suggest that the seasoned driver could achieve this milestone while competing for Aston Martin this year.
According to Lawrence Barretto on F1.com, consistently competing for victories or podium finishes would be a challenging goal. However, the team is expected to improve sufficiently so that on certain weekends, circumstances will favor double world champion Alonso, allowing him to demonstrate his enduring skill at the age of 43 and potentially achieve his first win since the 2013 Spanish Grand Prix.
At the beginning of 2023, it seemed as though Alonso's 33rd victory was becoming more likely.
During his first race with Aston Martin, he secured a podium finish at the season-opening event in Bahrain.
He managed to finish in the top three positions in six out of the first eight races of the season.
However, a victory never came to fruition, and Aston Martin has faced difficulties ever since.
In the previous year, Alonso didn't have many highlights on the track, with his best result being a fifth-place finish in Saudi Arabia.
The addition of Adrian Newey to the team in March 2025 marks a thrilling period for Aston Martin.
It's still uncertain if the brilliance of car designer Newey can influence this season's vehicle enough for Alonso to break his streak without a victory.
Newey's primary attention is directed towards the period starting in 2026 and the future, as that is when the new F1 regulations will be implemented.
Despite this, Aston Martin boasts a remarkable technical team that includes former Mercedes employee Andy Cowell and former Ferrari veteran Enrico Cardile, all working towards providing Alonso with the resources he requires.

James Hinchcliffe Criticizes ‘Short-Sighted’ Views on Hamilton’s Ferrari Move: Expecting an Invigorated Champion in 2025
Formula 1 analyst criticizes "narrow-minded" remarks about Lewis Hamilton
"It's somewhat narrow-minded to claim it doesn't impact a driver's performance."
Formula 1 television analyst James Hinchcliffe anticipates that Lewis Hamilton will feel revitalized while racing for Ferrari in 2025, labeling any negative comments about the seven-time world champion as lacking foresight.
In his last season with Mercedes, Hamilton faced difficulties, especially with their performance in qualifying sessions.
At age 40, he succeeded in qualifying ahead of George Russell only five times, which was just the second instance in his Formula 1 career where he was outperformed by a teammate in Saturday qualifications.
Although Hamilton showed stronger performances in his races, the season overall was still disappointing for him.
Eddie Jordan and Flavio Briatore have expressed doubts about Ferrari's choice to swap Carlos Sainz for Hamilton in the next season, following his recent performances.
During an episode of The Red Flags podcast, Hinchcliffe, who used to compete in IndyCar, discussed how the timing of Hamilton leaving Mercedes might have influenced his performance in races.
James Hinchcliffe mentioned that the initial element to decline is typically the performance on Saturdays. He expressed uncertainty about whether that was evident this year, referring to 2024. He also noted that the individual in question was aware of his departure even before the start of the first race.
"I understand that he made a deliberate effort to attend the track each weekend and put forth his utmost effort, but on a deeper level, there's an awareness that it's wrapping up. In 2023, he clearly outperformed George, didn't he? It's not as if he lost his driving skills over the year."
"There were numerous developments happening behind the scenes this year. Suggesting that these had no impact on a driver's performance might overlook the bigger picture. With this new opportunity, he is likely to feel rejuvenated."
“Fascinating situation” at Ferrari for F1 in 2025
Hamilton will encounter a challenging situation in 2025 when he teams up with Charles Leclerc, who is considered one of the quickest qualifiers in Formula 1.
Hinchcliffe thinks that Hamilton can find assurance in Sainz's ability to qualify ahead of Leclerc on nine occasions during the 2024 season.
"Charles is recognized for his strong performances on Saturdays, provided the car is in good shape," he stated. "If the car's balance isn't quite right, even Carlos tends to qualify ahead of him regularly."
"He requires the vehicle at a particular time. With the current driver, who is associated with Ferrari, and the newcomer, a seven-time world champion, joining the team, the situation is set to be quite intriguing."
Hamilton is anticipated to unofficially debut with Ferrari sometime within the upcoming month.
The British racer is set to get behind the wheel of Ferrari's 2022 car as he starts the transition process before pre-season testing kicks off at the end of February.
