The National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA) has issued permits for 109 video games to be launched in China this month, based on the most recent list of approved games published on Friday. The authorities have been sanctioning an average of 107 games monthly in 2024 in an effort to rejuvenate the sector following an extended slump after a stringent regulatory action in 2021.
A game named Shou, developed by Tencent, the most profitable video gaming company in the nation, has been listed. However, details about it are scarce. The corporation hasn't disclosed any data about the mobile game's genre or its development status. The title Shou translates to "hunting" in Chinese.
