Rene Rast, who finished second in the 2018 DTM drivers' championship, along with the 2013 champion Mike Rockenfeller, and drivers Loic Duval, Jamie Green, Robin Frijns, and Nico Müller, will all continue racing for Audi next year. They will stay with their current teams.
Frijns and Muller are set to stay with Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline; Duval and Rockenfeller will compete for Audi Sport Team Phoenix; while Rast and Green will join forces at Audi Sport Team Rosberg.
"We had an exceptionally strong team of drivers in 2018 with Loïc, Robin, Jamie, Nico, René, and Mike, and we are maintaining this lineup for the upcoming season," stated Dieter Gass, the Head of Audi Motorsport.
"From my perspective, these are the ideal six for Audi Sport. Each of them has the capability to compete for the DTM championship. Additionally, they demonstrated excellent teamwork once more last season."
"Previously, we occasionally altered our team lineups. But with the current pairings, the drivers work together exceptionally well, leaving no need for further changes."
Customer team WRT will enter two more Audi cars, with further details to be disclosed in the future.
