Xi Jinping’s 2018 Speech Excerpts Reveal Call to Counter Western Influence on Chinese Youth

The leading theoretical journal of the Communist Party has underscored the danger posed by "destructive" "foreign entities" attempting to sway China's young population, by publishing excerpts from a speech delivered by Chinese President Xi Jinping six years earlier.
During his address at the 2018 National Education Conference, Xi pointed fingers at certain groups for attempting to "Westernize" Chinese young minds and orchestrating a "color revolution". He underscored the importance of incorporating ideological education in schools.
