Rishi Sunak has landed in Switzerland, marking what is expected to be his final global appearance before the UK's upcoming general election.
The prime minister, alongside fifty other global leaders, is participating in a Ukraine peace conference held at an isolated retreat near Lake Lucerne.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Sunak cautioned Russia's allies, stating they are "backing the wrong side of history."
He stated: "Putin is not genuinely interested in peace. He has initiated a vigorous diplomatic offensive against this summit, urging nations to abstain from attending, and spreading a fabricated story about his readiness to engage in negotiations."
This is the most significant assembly of global leaders dedicated exclusively to discussing Ukraine since the onset of the Russian invasion.
