Sky News has announced that Rishi Sunak and Sir Keir Starmer are set to be questioned by Beth Rigby and the public at a unique leadership event scheduled for Wednesday.
Renowned political editor Rigby will closely examine the leaders of the Conservative and Labour parties, delving into their pledges to the nation in detailed interviews lasting 20 minutes each.
Sky News will broadcast "The Battle for Number 10 – a Sky News Leaders Special Event" live from Grimsy, a crucial location in the upcoming election, this Wednesday at 7:30 PM.
Sky News' main presenter in the UK, Sarah-Jane Mee, will be part of the selected group of audience members—comprising both local and national individuals—as they pose their questions to Mr. Sunak and Sir Keir during separate 25-minute sessions. A coin flip will determine who will answer questions first.

This marks the second broadcasted debate between the leaders of the two main parties, occurring midway through the election season and merely three weeks before voting begins. During their initial debate last week, both Mr. Sunak and Sir Keir had 45 seconds to answer each question asked.
Sky News' executive editor and managing editor, Jonathan Levy, commented, "Audiences expressed a desire to hear extensively from Rishi Sunak and Keir Starmer. Thus, Sky News is allocating increased time for each candidate to discuss their visions for the future. They will each have 45 minutes to speak in detail and without interruptions, instead of just 45 seconds."
"We're delivering the complete story to the country before anyone else."

Sir Keir expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming event, stating, "I'm genuinely excited about this because I appreciate the opportunity to engage directly with Sky viewers and the local audience in Grimsy."
"Allocating a bit more time should enable us to formulate the necessary responses."
The freshly delineated Grimsby and Cleethorpes electoral district presents a complicated landscape and is expected to be a crucial area of contention during the upcoming election.
In 2019, Grimsby elected a Conservative representative for the first time since World War II ended, as numerous residents experienced a growing cultural disconnect with the Labour Party.
The electoral district has merged with Cleethorpes, a stronghold for the Conservatives since 2010, though their popularity there is diminishing.
Since its establishment in 1995, Cleethorpes has consistently aligned with the majority party in Westminster, serving as a reliable indicator of political trends.
