The leader of the SNP declared to Sky News that their party will present the most progressive manifesto, noting that Labour has adopted a more conservative economic stance.
John Swinney has criticized Labour for shifting towards more conservative positions, positioning the SNP as the sole left-of-center party.
"The SNP has always been, and always will be, a centrist-left political party," he informed Sky News.
"The Labour Party has largely embraced the economic strategies promoted by the Conservatives."
"This will limit their capabilities in every aspect."

Election update: Inquiry on Farage's stance regarding Conservative rumors – his non-response speaks volumes
Nigel Farage reveals that Reform Party's main goal is to make a significant impact in the upcoming general election.
Farage's evasion of inquiries regarding a potential shift to the Tories highlights his significance as a figure to monitor following the election.
He expressed his belief that Labour lacks both the desire and the dedication to fund the public services that are critically needed right now.
Mr. Swinney refuted claims that he had estranged a segment of voters prior to the SNP's manifesto unveiling on Wednesday.
"He mentioned that the political landscape in the United Kingdom has shifted towards the right, and regrettably, the Labour Party has followed suit. This shift impacts various issues significantly," he said.
The topics that are important to the residents of Scotland are not being focused on by the Labour Party, and even less so by the Conservative Party.
"That's been common knowledge for quite a while."

On Monday, Mr. Swinney declared that the SNP plans to implement a reduced energy bill rate, known as a "social tariff," aimed at supporting senior citizens, low-income individuals, and the disabled.
He mentioned that the reduced energy expenses for these groups would be financed through general taxes and contributions from utility companies.
The Scottish administration lacks the authority to levy the majority of taxes, as significant alterations require the endorsement of the UK Parliament in Westminster.
Mr. Swinney stated, "This is a goal the SNP is committed to achieving, and we aim to introduce it into the current election discussion to make sure voters are aware that these principles represent the Scottish National Party, and we intend to implement them."
"This issue pertains to the United Kingdom. It falls under the jurisdiction of Westminster's reserved powers to address.
"My main argument concerning the current election campaign is that the genuine issues facing the citizens of Scotland are largely being ignored, except for the contributions made by the Scottish National Party."

Mr. Swinney stated that a strong performance by the SNP in the election would be interpreted as authorization to commence discussions on independence with the UK government.
The Conservative and Labour parties have dismissed the possibility of discussions on independence, yet Mr. Swinney contended that the leaders in Westminster cannot reject the idea outright, citing the democratic nature of the society in which we live.
"He added that it's unacceptable for Downing Street to simply override the democratic authority of the Scottish people."
