£6m RB17 Hypercar – Adrian Newey's final Red Bull creation – unveiled at last

The RB17 Hypercar, crafted by Adrian Newey, has been disclosed to the public.

Red Bull has introduced the RB17 Hypercar, the final masterpiece designed by F1 legend Adrian Newey before his exit.

The RB17, which boasts a V10 engine and 1184 horsepower, is the last project Adrian Newey will oversee at Red Bull before his departure in early 2025. Newey, a renowned designer, claims that this hypercar will achieve lap times comparable to Formula 1 and can reach speeds over 350 kilometers per hour.

Red Bull Advanced Technologies oversees the complete design and construction process, producing just 50 units available for purchase.

The RB17 made its debut at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed last Friday.

Adrian Newey revealed that he had been contemplating the idea of designing their own Hypercar, from initial concept to final delivery, for several years. He described the project and its journey as magnificent.

"It is truly extraordinary that the day has come to unveil the RB17. The RB17 Hypercar embodies all of our core values: immense power, incredible speed, and stunning beauty."

"It’s highly versatile in its capabilities, and we specifically designed it to have two seats so that the excitement of driving at F1 speeds can be shared with a companion."

Rob Gray, the technical director at Red Bull Advanced Technologies, expressed his excitement about the RB17 project.
