The prime minister emphasized the significance of adhering to regulations following a controversy involving a donor who financed his wife's wardrobe.
The Conservative Party is urging a probe into Sir Keir Starmer concerning a potential violation of parliamentary regulations. This comes after it was revealed that Lord Alli, Starmer's largest individual donor, covered expenses for a personal shopper, and clothing and alterations for Lady Victoria Starmer, which were not declared.
In the meantime, the Scottish National Party has urged "Catwalk Keir" to contribute the funds he received for purchasing clothing for himself and his spouse to Age Scotland. This gesture would support elderly individuals who are missing out on their winter fuel allowances.
"Additionally, if he possesses any extra designer hats, gloves, or jackets, he ought to give them away to assist in keeping the elderly warm while energy costs skyrocket under his governance," stated the party's MP Kirsty Blackman.

A spokesperson from Number 10 informed Sky News that the error was rectified following guidance from officials upon assuming office.
This has led to additional inquiries about whether Sir Keir and his spouse required clothing donations given that the prime minister earns an annual salary of approximately £160,000.
Addressing the media on Monday, the prime minister seemed to indicate his willingness to accept further gifts from Lord Alli should they be presented.
When questioned on the matter, he responded, "I will adhere to the regulations whenever there are gifts involved from any party."
According to The Times, Sir Keir has been gifted and has declared close to £19,000 in professional attire and multiple pairs of eyeglasses this year, courtesy of Lord Alli, the ex-chairman of the internet-based clothing giant Asos.
Furthermore, the noble, whose estimated personal fortune stands at £200 million, shelled out £20,000 for the current prime minister's accommodation during the electoral campaign and an equivalent amount for "private office" expenses, as reported by the newspaper.
It is believed that the contributions made towards Lady Victoria's attire were reported after the mandated 28-day period within which Members of Parliament must record received gifts and donations.
When questioned about the controversy during a visit to Rome, the prime minister stated, "Adhering to the rules is extremely important to me. I have consistently emphasized this point, before and after the election."
"That's the reason why, soon after the vote, my group sought guidance on which statements to issue to ensure compliance with the regulations."
"Recently, they sought additional counsel, following which they made the necessary disclosures."
Sir Keir emphasized, "It's crucial for me that the regulations are adhered to."
"I was really happy that my team took the initiative to reach out not just once, but twice. It's crucial that we maintain openness, and it's equally crucial that you and everyone else can see that the rules are being adhered to."

Shadow science and technology secretary Andrew Griffith expressed disbelief, stating: "It's astounding that the prime minister finds it reasonable for retirees earning £13,000 annually to manage their heating expenses, while he, making 12 times that amount, seemingly struggles to afford clothing for himself and his wife."
Senior members of his team are pushing for a clothing allowance paid for by taxpayers to maintain a polished appearance, meanwhile, citizens nationwide are grappling with difficult decisions due to the detrimental policies enacted by Labour.
"Labour vowed to bring transformation, but in just 10 weeks, the only thing they've changed is their own wardrobe. Labour has chosen to prioritize their own interests and those of their union backers over the needs of the most vulnerable."
