Authorities are investigating the campaign advertisements of a Conservative candidate following accusations of electoral misconduct.
Robert Largan, striving to retain his position in High Peak, has released several campaign materials styled in the colors associated with Labour and Reform UK.
The visuals displayed slogans such as "Labour for Largan" and "Reform for Robert."

The initial social media update states: "Numerous local Labour supporters have expressed to me their plans to vote in my favor, as they wish for me to continue serving as their local MP.
"I've encountered so many that I'm starting a new club called Labour for Largan."
The social media update promoting Reform directs followers to Mr. Largan's campaign website, with a message stating: "Supporters of Reform throughout High Peak are casting their votes locally on Thursday, July 4th, in support of Robert Largan. Will you join them?"
Derbyshire Police stated, "We would like to acknowledge the receipt of multiple communications pertaining to allegations of election fraud, which have surfaced due to issues with promotional materials.
"A case has been logged and is pending evaluation."

A representative for Mr. Largan refuted any wrongdoing on his part, emphasizing that all his campaign materials properly identify him as the Conservative candidate and adhere to the rules governing elections.
"A statement indicated that Mr. Largan's social media updates and website content clearly show that numerous longstanding Labour supporters have reached out to him, expressing their intention to vote for him even though he is running as a Conservative candidate."
"Likewise, backers of Reform share this view, attributable to Mr. Largan's proven track record of accomplishments in the High Peak.
Hence, groups supporting classic Labour and Reform backers have been established, enabling individuals to express their support to Mr. Largan.
"Known as Labour for Largan and Reform for Robert, these types of fan groups are not a recent development."
In 2019, Mr. Largan secured a narrow victory in the High Peak constituency, a key red wall seat, by just 590 votes
