Max Verstappen Touted to Eclipse Legends Schumacher and Senna in Equal F1 Machinery, Says Eddie Jordan
Max Verstappen is expected to surpass Michael Schumacher and Ayrton Senna if they were racing with the same equipment.
Could Max Verstappen outperform Michael Schumacher and Ayrton Senna if they all had identical cars?
Renowned F1 team owner Eddie Jordan thinks that Max Verstappen would come out on top against Michael Schumacher and Ayrton Senna if they were racing with the same equipment.
Jordan dedicated most of his time in Formula 1 as the owner of Jordan Grand Prix, particularly during the era when Senna and Schumacher were achieving victories.
The well-known Irishman introduced Schumacher to Formula 1 at the 1991 Belgian Grand Prix.
Jordan couldn't keep Schumacher, as the German driver moved to Benetton.
It was also revealed that Jordan gave Senna his initial opportunity to drive a Formula 3 car in the early 1980s.
Schumacher and Senna are often considered among the best drivers in Formula 1 history, and in recent times, Verstappen's overwhelming success has earned him a place in that discussion.
During the most recent episode of the Formula for Success podcast, Jordan confidently stated his opinion on who would be the winner in a competition between Verstappen, Schumacher, and Senna.
In 1982, Jordan mentioned that he was fortunate to come across a man named Da Silva and provided him with his debut opportunity to drive a Formula 3 car at Silverstone.
In 1983, we traveled to Macau where a racer named Da Silva emerged victorious. He later altered his name to [Ayrton] Senna.
"Indeed, I've driven with Senna and Schumacher, but I sincerely think that if you were to put Senna, Schumacher, and Max Verstappen in identical cars in the same race at the same time, Max would come out on top."
In my opinion, Max would likely come out on top because of his exceptional skills and consistent performance. He has extensive experience in racing.
Verstappen is set to win his fourth drivers' championship in a row.
The Dutch driver holds a 31-point lead over Charles Leclerc as they approach this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix.
Although Verstappen has only secured one victory in the past three races—a relatively dry spell given Red Bull's performance over the last year and a half—he is still considered the frontrunner.
