Marco Bezzecchi Poised for 2025 Aprilia Factory Team Move Amid Major MotoGP Reshuffle
Marco Bezzecchi likely to join Aprilia in 2025
Reports suggest VR46's Marco Bezzecchi is being considered for recruitment by Aprilia.
According to reports, Marco Bezzecchi is expected to join Aprilia next year.
According to an initial report by Sky Italia, Bezzecchi has been chosen to occupy Aprilia’s second spot on their factory team.
The Italian company is introducing a fresh lineup after signing Jorge Martin, who did not secure his desired move to the main Ducati team.
Both of Aprilia's current riders are set to leave after this season.
Aleix Espargaro is stepping away from racing, while Maverick Vinales has inked a deal to join Tech3 KTM.
The addition of Bezzecchi from VR46 would fulfill Aprilia's openly stated wish for an Italian rider.
Enea Bastianini, who had been previously linked with Aprilia, has now committed to Tech3 KTM.
It appears that Bezzecchi is set to advance to a factory position for the first time in his MotoGP career.
Last year, Bezzecchi had a standout season, securing his first grand prix victory and remaining in contention for the championship until an injury dashed his chances.
This year, he has struggled more with adjusting to the GP23.
Bezzecchi has revealed that a competing company has asked him about his intentions for the year 2025.
“At the moment, I'm definitely considering my options, but I'm also facing some challenges, so I'm not overly focused on what lies ahead,” he stated.
“I’m focusing on the here and now.”
