Manhart Transforms BMW X3 M Competition: Introducing the Enhanced MHX3 650 with 650 HP and a Muscular Makeover
Manhart enhances the soon-to-be outdated BMW X3 M Competition
Introducing the tuner's MHX3 650 with 650 horsepower and a more aggressive appearance
From the factory, the BMW X3 M Competition is undoubtedly a vehicle that leaves little to be desired. However, tuning specialist Manhart sees the high-end X3 merely as a starting point for their own creation, the MHX3 650. The upgrade significantly boosts the power and transforms the vehicle's aesthetic as well.
The majority of consumers will likely find the 510 horsepower and bold design of the BMW X3 M more than satisfactory. However, there are always those who wish to distinguish themselves from the crowd (if one can even speak of a crowd in relation to the X3 M) in a more exclusive manner. For these affluent individuals, Manhart offers a comprehensive suite of upgrades.

Under the hood, a supplementary control unit boosts the power by 140 HP with the torque reaching 880 Nm. Contributing to this performance enhancement is also the stainless steel exhaust system with a valve function, which connects to Manhart sports downpipes featuring 200-cell HJS catalytic converters and ends in four carbon tailpipes each 100 millimeters in diameter. There's also an option for a version with ceramic-coated tailpipe tips.
The visual updates bring the X3 M closer in appearance to BMW's high-performance SUV, the XM. The carbon aerodynamics package includes both a front and rear spoiler, along with side skirts to match. A carbon fiber diffuser has also been installed. It seems that the signature Manhart decals are a must, but in this instance, they have thankfully been applied in a subdued matte silver instead of the usual gold. However, one could certainly consider the merits of opting out of decals altogether…
The vehicle's wheel arches boast black multi-spoke aluminum wheels that feature silver outer rims, although they can also be opted in different hues. Measuring at 9 x 22 and 10.5 x 22, and wrapped with 255/35 and 395/30 tires respectively, they not only aesthetically enhance the wheel wells but also improve traction. Additionally, H&R lowering springs have been installed to lower the car's center of gravity.
A small amount of carbon is present in the interior as well. Furthermore, Manhart provides custom interior modifications through their in-house upholstery service to satisfy any client request.
