Jorge Martin Confident in Ducati’s Decision for 2025 Partner, Unfazed by Competition

Published

Jorge Martin is of the opinion that Ducati has made their decision on who will team up with Francesco Bagnaia. "In my view, they've made their choice and regardless, it's going to be a positive outcome," Martin commented.

MotoGP frontrunner Jorge Martin feels he has no more to demonstrate or accomplish regarding the 2025 Ducati factory team roster.

Martin delivered an exceptional performance at Le Mans, becoming the second rider following Maverick Vinales to secure a pole position, a sprint win, and a grand prix win all in the same weekend this season.

Raul Fernandez expressed his frustration, stating, "I struggled with traction, leaving me quite disheartened. Aiming for the second group was a practical goal."

On Saturday, Martin shattered the track's speed record and then went on to triumph in the sprint race. The grand prix presented challenges for him, yet following an intense competition against Francesco Bagnaia, Martin clinched his fifth victory out of ten races.

Martin is caught up in a battle against Marc Marquez and Enea Bastianini for the coveted second factory Ducati spot for the 2025 season.

Certain individuals within the racing community are of the opinion that Martin will secure the seat, while others think it will be Marquez.

Regardless of the path Ducati chooses to take, Martin is content with the understanding that he has demonstrated all that was necessary.

"Martin expressed, "I believe I have nothing to prove. Regarding my future, my stance is that the outcomes of the upcoming races will not alter anything."

"Regardless of the outcome, whether I emerge victorious or not, I believe I've accomplished my goals and I'm genuinely pleased with how I've performed."

Martin subsequently advanced his statement by suggesting that Ducati is aware of whom they intend to pair with Bagnaia.

Martin stated, "It's definitely significant, perhaps it's clearer now, but I don't believe it will make a difference. I'm the same competitor I was yesterday, the same one I was on Thursday."

"Therefore, they need to make a choice, and I believe they've already decided. Whatever the outcome, it will be positive."

"I'm eager to join the Ducati factory team, but if they decide against it for reasons unknown to us, then I'll offer my skills to others."
