Elhedery made a visit to the HSBC's Premier Banking branch located at Des Voeux Road in Central. He also dropped by the bank's Wealth Centre situated at Hysan Place in Causeway Bay. During his visit, he engaged with the customers, as reported by the bank's representatives.

HSBC, which has its origins in Hong Kong dating back to 1865, emphasized the significant value it places on this market, according to the bank's statement. Georges, the statement noted, was eager to devote his initial days there and planned to engage with a diverse group of clients, coworkers, and government representatives.

Elhedery and the Hong Kong CEO, Luanne Lim, are scheduled to conduct a Zoom call with all the Hong Kong employees on Tuesday afternoon. This will provide an opportunity for the global CEO to evaluate the bank's operations and share predictions for what lies ahead, stated an unnamed HSBC worker.
