“We gave it our all today, and I'm proud of finishing first. There are more victories ahead.”
George Russell has called his disqualification from the F1 Belgian Grand Prix "devastating."

This was a clear violation of the F1 rules, leading to Russell being disqualified.
Russell executed an impressive race, utilizing a clever one-stop strategy to seize the lead.
Under significant pressure from Lewis Hamilton during the final laps, Russell managed to hold off the seven-time world champion and secured victory at Spa-Francorchamps.
Russell shared his initial reactions to his disqualification on social media.
"It's devastating… We were 1.5 kg below the required weight and have been excluded from the competition," he posted.
“We gave it everything we had out there, and I’m proud to have finished in first place.”
"Expect additional updates in the future."

Mercedes was taken by surprise when they claimed victory based on their performance after a challenging Friday.
Mercedes decided not to use their floor upgrade before the wet sessions on Saturday at Spa.
Although Hamilton secured the fourth qualifying spot, the anticipation was that McLaren and Red Bull would battle for the victory.
Hamilton managed to pass Sergio Perez during the first lap and then went on to overtake Charles Leclerc.
Hamilton was set to earn a victory on his own merits, leading Oscar Piastri, but Russell's effective one-stop strategy paid off, allowing him to secure the lead.
Hamilton was unable to pass, which enabled Russell to secure the victory prior to his disqualification.
Regarding the outcomes, Hamilton achieved his 105th Formula 1 career win, with Piastri and Leclerc finishing in second and third place respectively.
