Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu expressed his gratitude towards Kevin, noting his contributions to the team in various capacities.
Throughout the years, he has been a fundamental part of our team of drivers. He holds the record for the most races driven for us, and we’ve shared many unforgettable moments. One of the standout achievements was when Kevin secured an impressive fifth place at the 2022 Bahrain Grand Prix upon his return for a second stint with the team.
He had no plans to drive a Formula 1 car that weekend, but his outstanding performance provided a significant uplift to the whole team and highlighted his driving skills once more.
"There are many races left this year, and I'm excited to see what more we can accomplish alongside Kevin as we strive together in the championship."
"Furthermore, given Kevin's unique connection with the team, I hope we can figure out a way to continue collaborating in some form."
"We aim to clarify this soon, but his vast experience in Formula 1 and deep understanding of our processes are certainly beneficial for our continuous progress and expansion."
