Fiery End for Logan Sargeant: Williams Catches Fire After Heavy Crash in Final Dutch GP Practice
During the last practice session for the Dutch Grand Prix, Logan Sargeant experienced a serious crash, resulting in his Williams F1 car igniting in flames.
Logan Sargeant's Williams Formula 1 vehicle caught fire following a severe crash during the initial segment of the last practice session at the Dutch Grand Prix.
Sargeant spun out of control with his Williams car as he exited Turn 4, having driven his front-right tire onto the grass.
His vehicle veered into the barriers, causing total destruction to the back of his Williams.
The vehicle driven by Sargeant burst into flames during the incident.
Sargeant quickly informed everyone that he was alright, but it seems doubtful that he'll be able to participate in the qualifying rounds.
The session was later halted for an extended duration due to a red flag.
The last practice session proved challenging for several drivers because of the tough conditions.

Nico Hulkenberg from Haas collided with the barrier at Turn 11, completely destroying his front wing.
Sargeant has had a challenging season, and Carlos Sainz is set to take his place in 2025.
This signifies the end of his career in Formula 1.
Nonetheless, James Vowles, the head of Williams, praised Sargeant's development this year even though he hasn't scored any points.
During a press conference organized by the FIA on Friday, he shared with media outlets like Crash.net: "In my opinion, one of his most underestimated qualities is his incredible mental resilience. We were just discussing this a moment ago. Despite facing constant criticism from the media and the world nearly every weekend, by the time the next weekend arrives, he has managed to clear his mind of it all."
"He is here primarily to focus on his basic performance. He prepares for the weekend in the necessary manner. It's not that he hasn't made any advancements. Over the past 18 months, it's evident that he has improved in various aspects such as reducing mistakes, closing the gap with Alex, improving his qualifying positions, and finishing races with fewer seconds behind."
"Everything is progressing well. Previously, he struggled with gradually preparing for the weekend, but now he excels at it. He's learned to find the limit by building up from the basics rather than trying to tackle everything at once. This bottom-up approach is safer because, with a top-down method, one mistake can cost you a lot of time and put you in a risky position."
According to his own admission, he has grown significantly as a driver. He now handles pressure and unexpected challenges much more effectively. Additionally, he is making better use of the various tools and engineering systems available to him, both in and out of the car. These are all positive developments.
