Ferrari Leads the Charge with New Front Wing as F1 Teams Opt for Minimal Upgrades at Singapore Grand Prix
Ferrari leads the charge with a new front wing for the Singapore Grand Prix
Here are the upgrades introduced by each team for the F1 Singapore Grand Prix.
The Formula 1 teams have made only minor improvements for this weekend's race at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
Teams are anticipated to roll out their last major upgrade packages for COTA, with a three-week interval before the event in the USA.
This weekend in Singapore, Ferrari is introducing a new front wing in an effort to boost their performance.
Red Bull
Front Section: Tailored for the Track – Cooling Capabilities. The design features an expanded front brake duct exit. This adjustment, aimed at enhancing the cooling of front brake components, was specifically created to meet the rigorous conditions of the Singapore circuit.

Ferrari
Front Wing: Enhanced Performance and Flow Management. Adjustments have been made to the distribution of loading across the third and fourth elements along the span, along with updates to the tip design. This upgrade to the front wing is not tailored specifically for the Singapore circuit but provides performance enhancements and better management of airflow downstream over a broader range of conditions.
McLaren
Beam Wing: Tailored for specific circuits – Drag Spectrum. Enhanced Downforce Beam Wing. To meet the demands of the track, a more heavily loaded Beam Wing has been developed to effectively boost the overall aerodynamic load.
Aston Martin
Front Wing: Customized for the track – Balance Spectrum. This version features a more assertive flap with a higher angle in the middle section. The heightened assertiveness of the flap boosts the downforce produced by the front wing to match the anticipated rear wing setting for this event.
Alpine
Rear Wing: Performance – Local Load. The main plane of the rear wing has been reshaped to match the specific demands of the track and its high downforce requirements. This redesigned top rear wing main plane is tailored to the track's features and its need for significant downforce.
Williams
Front Suspension: Performance – The flow conditioning and geometries of the front wishbones, track rod, and pushrod have been enhanced. Additionally, minor adjustments have been made to the surfaces of the brake ducts, boot panels, and chassis leg coverings to align with the updated leg geometries.
VCARB Front Wing: Tailored for specific circuits, offering an adjustable balance range. The camber and flap chord have been enhanced from prior models. This expanded front flap boosts the total aerodynamic load generated by the front wing assembly, achieving the necessary balance for circuits that demand high downforce and stability. These modifications optimize airflow in front of the surfaces updated for the Dutch Grand Prix, improving local aerodynamic load from the earlier update.
