F1 2025: Lewis Hamilton’s Winning Mentality Poised to Revitalize Ferrari, Says Haas Rookie Oliver Bearman
Lewis Hamilton is expected to introduce a "winning mentality" to Ferrari for the 2025 F1 season.
Oliver Bearman, who will drive for Haas F1 in 2025, has expressed his support, predicting that Hamilton will bring a victorious mindset to Ferrari upon his arrival next year.
Starting in 2025, Hamilton will team up with Charles Leclerc at Ferrari, a development that sent shockwaves through the sports community earlier this year.
Hamilton's longstanding partnership with Mercedes will come to a close, marking the end of his relationship with the German company, which began when he started his Formula 1 career with McLaren in 2007.
Ferrari has not won a championship since Kimi Raikkonen secured the title during Lewis Hamilton’s debut season in Formula 1.
Since that time, the Scuderia has experienced several close calls with Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel.
In recent years, Ferrari has faced challenges in giving Leclerc a consistently competitive car capable of winning a championship throughout an entire season.
Ferrari's driver academy member Bearman thinks that Hamilton's influence at Maranello will be significant.
"He'll contribute significant experience to the team," Bearman mentioned to Sky Sports while at Silverstone.
"He has secured seven world championships, an achievement few can claim. He will contribute a positive and victorious mindset to the team, and his skill is beyond question. He ranks among the greatest in the sport's history."
Bearman went on to express his happiness about being able to gain some insights from him. He added that he is eager to learn a lot from this experience and believes that Ferrari will benefit too, as he thinks the individual will be a valuable addition to the team.
Bearman is set to join Haas as a full-time Formula 1 driver next year.
The British racer made a remarkable one-time appearance for Ferrari in Saudi Arabia, filling in for Carlos Sainz.
Bearman aspires to secure world championship titles with Ferrari down the line.
"Ferrari is undoubtedly one of the world's most legendary brands, especially in the realms of racing and Formula 1. When people sketch a car, they often choose red. The brand is inherently linked with racing, triumph, achievement, and remarkable drivers," Bearman commented.
"To begin with, making my first appearance with Ferrari, which hasn't occurred in a long time, was incredibly significant. Additionally, becoming the youngest driver for Ferrari was a particularly meaningful achievement for me."
"Naturally, my goal is to win world championships, and achieving that with Ferrari is my ultimate aspiration. They've been backing me since 2021, recognizing my potential early. They chose to believe in me, and even giving me the opportunity to drive in Jeddah was a significant gamble on their part."
"This indicates their confidence in me and my abilities. Naturally, I aspire to win a championship someday, particularly with Ferrari."
