**”Eddie Jordan Refutes Claims on Adrian Newey’s Ferrari Move Amid David Coulthard’s Insider Leak”**
Eddie Jordan faces allegations that Adrian Newey’s opportunity with Ferrari is no longer available. According to David Coulthard, a highly authoritative insider has revealed this information.
Eddie Jordan has reacted to the claim that Adrian Newey’s path to Ferrari has been closed off.
Formula 1 veteran Jordan unexpectedly took on the role of managing Newey, sparking curiosity about Newey's future plans.
Newey is set to step down from his role as chief technical officer at Red Bull early next year, sparking speculation about which team might be the next to gain from his knowledge.
In his Formula For Success podcast, Jordan was asked if he believed they were feeling Newey's absence. He responded that he wouldn't comment on that for evident reasons.
David Coulthard replied, "I don't believe the increased competition is due to Adrian announcing a few races back that he will be departing the team next year."
"It's absurd to think about. It's not like a stock price. After Apple's founder passed away, their stock value fell despite having an impressive lineup of recently launched products."
"The stock market heavily relies on investor sentiment, while race car performance depends on tangible results and the quality of engineering work."
Adrian making a decision about not being with Red Bull in the long run is just as unlikely as you finally making up your mind and disclosing where you managed to negotiate the best agreement.
"We're anticipating the announcement."
"When you finally reveal that he's joining Aston Martin, do we really believe their performance will instantly improve by half a second just because of the announcement?"
"Certainly not. He will need to embark on the extensive process of familiarizing himself with the team members, understanding the facilities, and advancing his vision."
"Achieving that level of success can take a considerable amount of time. At Red Bull, it took four or five years for it to happen."
Jordan addressed the assertion concerning Aston Martin, saying, "You've expressed an opinion on where you believe Adrian might end up or not."
"I would respond by saying that I find it hard to believe that your statement can accurately be considered a fact."
Coulthard commented, "He won't be joining Ferrari."
Jordan asked, "What makes you say that? I need an explanation."
Coulthard: “A highly placed insider has confirmed that he won’t be joining McLaren unless it involves their road car division.”
"Why involve Adrian in a system that's already functioning well? McLaren has discovered a successful development path."
Jordan: "What you just mentioned is highly imaginative. If you recall the statements I’ve made, and those that Adrian has made…"
"Things are still undecided. What you mentioned is incorrect and imaginative."
Coulthard inquired, “So, where is he headed?”
Jordan responded by saying, "Why should I tell you? I have to explain that the reason no one will find out is because it's the summer break. He went to Goodwood with the RB17 and is still affiliated with Red Bull."
Some suggest that Red Bull should consider reaching out to him to see if he would return. However, I believe it’s much too late for that.
"Adrian is currently taking a break. Since he was 19, he has dedicated every year of his life, day and night, to his work. Now in his mid-60s, he is enjoying his free time. His daughter recently got married, and he is engaging in activities he never had the chance to do before."
According to Crash.net, Ferrari refuted a recent claim from Italian news outlets that they were in talks with Newey, which reportedly fell through because of his salary demands.
His opportunity to join a new team next year will provide him ample time to influence the development of their 2026 vehicle.
As a result, Newey’s prospective employers will hope he can give them the drive needed to take the lead when the new F1 rules come into effect.
