Daniel Ricciardo Secures 2024 F1 Season with VCARB Despite Missing Red Bull Promotion
Daniel Ricciardo's place in F1 with RB is stable even though he did not get promoted to Red Bull. He is confirmed to stay with the Visa Cash App RB team for the entirety of the 2024 F1 season.
Daniel Ricciardo is projected to complete the 2024 F1 season with VCARB, although he did not secure an advancement to Red Bull.
Daniel Ricciardo was considered as a possible replacement for Sergio Perez at Red Bull for the latter part of the season.
After an intense meeting between Christian Horner and Helmut Marko, Red Bull has chosen to continue with Perez, effectively ending any chance for Ricciardo's comeback.
Uncertainty surrounded Ricciardo's future with Red Bull as pressure increased during the initial weeks of the season.
However, credit must be given to Ricciardo for gradually improving his performance.
According to reports from Crash.net, Red Bull Racing does not intend to alter their current driver roster, which ensures that Daniel Ricciardo will continue racing with Red Bull for the remainder of the season, partnering with Yuki Tsunoda.
This implies that Liam Lawson will not have a chance for a full-time position with the team until at least 2025.
Ricciardo and Lawson are scheduled to participate in a test session for Red Bull at Imola on Wednesday.
Initially, the test was referred to as a 'shootout' designed to determine who might succeed Perez at Red Bull.
Given that Perez's position is confirmed, it would be reasonable to assume that the focus is now on deciding who will occupy the second RB spot in 2024.
It appears that Ricciardo's position in Formula 1 is safe, as the forthcoming test is merely a "filming day."
