BMW XM (2024) Enthüllt in Mailand: Mode trifft Motor im Alcantara-Design
The BMW XM (2024) Dons a Chic Alcantara Ensemble
Fashion Paves the Way…
A project titled "Sky is the Limit" not only raises the bar for anticipation but also reflects the ambition of its creators. This BMW XM has undergone an extensive customization by Alcantara, utilizing the luxurious fabric both inside and on the exterior. Forget about taking this one through a car wash!
Milan is renowned as a fashion capital. Therefore, it's no surprise that the outcome of a collaboration between BMW Italia and Alcantara was unveiled in this stylish city. The impressive BMW XM is now adorned in a luxurious Alcantara outfit, tailored specifically for it. Notably, this isn't the first time the XM has donned such attire, having previously been dressed in velvet!

Incorporating Alcantara on the exterior is quite atypical: The black Alcantara used by BMW creates a matte finish, offering a stark contrast to the shiny black details. It's evident that these surfaces have been crafted with meticulous precision and a keen eye for detail. This level of craftsmanship is usually only seen at custom car shows, but not with this degree of excellence. The remaining question is how one maintains such material? What happens after a 500-kilometer journey in the rain? However, it's unlikely that this display vehicle will encounter such conditions.
Moving on to the interior, the designers went all out in their creativity. They made it a point to visually separate the two sections – the "Cockpit" and the "M-Lounge". The Cockpit area features black BMW Alcantara upholstery, covering the seats and the left door panel. This design choice emphasizes the brand's dynamic and sporty ethos while offering a pronounced sense of enclosure.
In contrast, the rear seats are upholstered with icy white Alcantara to create a luxurious and exclusive atmosphere reminiscent of an elegant lounge. The rear seat center armrest includes a compartment for a bottle and two glasses.
Two compact supplementary cushions crafted from frost-hued Alcantara, mirroring the design found on the doors and headliner, are designed to enhance the rear passengers' comfort. The headliner is also made from an ice-white Alcantara, featuring a digital print that creates a gradient fading effect.
The door panels, dashboard, center console, and seats feature a fresh, unique surface showcasing a laser-perforated design against a blue backdrop. Accents in the colors of the Italian flag continue throughout the pattern, emphasizing the "Made in Italy" design.
Increased Presence of BMW XM:
The entire concept is quite bold and outgoing. However, if any vehicle can easily handle such an enhancement, it's the BMW XM, which naturally has no shortage of confidence.
