Angela Cullen's quick reaction to Lewis Hamilton's victory at the British Grand Prix
"Heartiest congratulations. Amazing victory! Lewis, Bono, and the whole Mercedes-Benz team. Cherish this unique occasion. Well-earned."
Angela Cullen has shared her thoughts on Lewis Hamilton’s first Formula 1 win since they ended their professional relationship.
Cullen served as Hamilton's physiotherapist for more than seven years before they ended their professional relationship just before the 2023 F1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
She played a significant role within Hamilton's close-knit team, providing support to the seven-time world champion throughout race weekends.
Hamilton secured his first victory since 2021 by winning the race at Silverstone on Sunday.
Cullen used Instagram to express his congratulations to Hamilton for his "amazing victory."
She posted on her Instagram: "Huge congratulations. Incredible victory! Lewis, Bono, and the whole MB team. Relish this unique achievement. Well-earned."
"One of the most rewarding experiences in life is finding the bravery to achieve your highest potential. Truly motivating."
After departing from Hamilton, Cullen has remained active in the motorsport scene, notably appearing in the IndyCar paddock to support Marcus Armstrong.
Last year, Hamilton expressed his gratitude to Cullen for her significant contributions to his career.
"Over the past seven years, Angela has supported and motivated me to improve myself," Hamilton stated.
"I owe my growth as an athlete and as an individual to her. Today, I invite you all to join me in sending her our best wishes as she embarks on the next chapter of her journey to achieve her aspirations. Thank you for all you've done, Ang. I'm excited to see what lies ahead for you."
Hamilton secured four of his seven championships between 2017 and 2020 while Cullen was a member of his close team.
