Yutong, China's leading electric bus manufacturer and a global leader in the industry, is promoting its latest technology as its exports increase. By implementing CATL's fast-charging batteries, the company plans to lengthen the driving distance by 10% and reduce running costs by 20%.
Yutong Bus, the global leader in electric-bus manufacturing, has introduced a new technology platform. This platform is intended to enhance driving distances and reduce operational expenses as the company competes for a larger share in the expanding market. This comes as public transportation networks across the globe are making efforts to reduce carbon emissions.
"He stated that the latest battery technology can reach full charge within 2.5 hours at standard speed during periods when city buses are parked in depots. As for long-distance buses, drivers can achieve a 50 per cent charge in just 30 minutes during their break periods."
On Tuesday, CATL, which is listed on the Shanghai stock exchange, unveiled a new battery system for commercial vehicles. Named as Tectrans, the new product was showcased at a trade fair in Hanover, Germany.
