Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Xpeng has introduced affordable car models priced below $17,000.
On August 27, 2024, Xpeng, a Chinese company that produces electric vehicles, introduced a range of affordable models that come with basic self-driving features.
The Mona M03 vehicles have a starting price of 119,800 yuan, equivalent to $16,800, and they have the ability to cover a minimum distance of 515 kilometers, approximately 320 miles, on a single charge.
Customers lauded the model for delivering a performance comparable to more expensive vehicles, while some company sales representatives expressed their anticipation that the new cars would attract a younger clientele.
The model is anticipated to rival vehicles produced by another Chinese company, BYD, currently recognized as the biggest EV manufacturer globally.
