Wrise’s Rapid Expansion in Hong Kong Amid Surge in Family Offices Setup: A New Era in Wealth Management
The wealth management platform, Wrise, broadens its reach in Hong Kong in response to the growing trend of affluent clients establishing family offices.
Derrick Tan, the Chairman of Wrise, announced that his company has launched another branch in the city, which covers 17,000 square feet, located at Lee Garden One in Causeway Bay. This newly inaugurated office is quadruple the size of their initial office situated a short distance away at Hysan Place.
Two years ago, Tan established Wrise to cater to family offices and extremely wealthy clients in Asia, mainland China, and the Middle East.
The firm operates as a standalone platform, collaborating with 150 financial associates, among them Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, UBS, and others. This also includes 30 partners from the insurance sector. These partners are able to market their offerings to affluent customers through Wrise's branches located in Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, and Dubai.
Currently, Wrise caters to extremely wealthy clients who have investment assets worth $25 million or more. However, through its new subsidiary, Wrise Prestige, it has broadened its scope to include individuals with assets ranging from $500,000 to $5 million.
