Sky Sports F1’s Rachel Brookes Misses Azerbaijan GP Coverage After Emergency Surgery
Sky Sports F1 host unable to cover Azerbaijan GP due to hospitalization
Rachel Brookes detailed the incident in Baku
Rachel Brookes was absent from Sky Sports’ broadcast of the F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix due to illness.
The television host has had a successful appendectomy in Baku.
She shared on social media that she arrived on Tuesday night feeling unwell. Initially, she assumed it was severe food poisoning, but she discovered the next day that she had appendicitis and required surgery.
“I’ve undergone an appendectomy, and everything went well.
"I want to express immense gratitude to my teammates at Sky Sports F1 for filling in and covering for me, and for all the supportive messages they've sent."
