Rachel Brookes was absent from Sky Sports’ broadcast of the F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix due to illness.
The television host has had a successful operation for their appendix in Baku.

"I've undergone an appendectomy and everything is fine."
“I'd like to express my immense gratitude to all my teammates at Sky Sports F1 for taking over, filling in for me, and sending numerous supportive messages.”
"Our team is truly the top-notch one."
“I am also grateful to Sky as a company for going above and beyond to ensure I received excellent care and for arranging my sister's flight to support me.”
"That's essentially the reason I wasn't part of the coverage this past weekend."
"I'll meet you in Texas."
David Croft is absent from Sky's broadcast as part of a pre-arranged plan. He is currently on his honeymoon, with Harry Benjamin stepping in as the commentator in his place.
