Saudi Arabia’s Tech Ambition: US and Chinese Tech Giants Gather at Gain Summit as Kingdom Embraces AI Future
The Gain Summit in Saudi Arabia attracts American and Chinese tech titans as the nation fully embraces AI. The third Global AI Summit, which commenced this Tuesday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia's capital, has enticed more than 400 presenters from over 100 different countries.
Abdullah bin Sharaf Alghamdi, who heads SDAIA, highlighted several accomplishments of Saudi Arabia in utilizing artificial intelligence in his address. He urged the global community to "forge a future where technology and mankind can prosper together".
The Saudi economy is set to benefit substantially from AI, with its contribution predicted to hit 12% by 2030. This forecast, published in a report by the SDAIA on Monday, also suggests the country's AI market will expand at a yearly rate of 29%. In terms of governmental use, nearly 40% of state departments have started utilizing AI, with a substantial 81% of these users reporting a notable improvement in their service delivery due to AI integration.
