Rising Demand for Natural Disaster Coverage in Travel Insurance: A Klook Survey Analysis
According to a survey by Klook, 38% of tourists are looking for travel insurance policies that provide coverage for losses resulting from natural disasters and scams.
Approximately 38% of tourists are interested in insurance policies that cover losses due to catastrophes such as severe weather, as revealed in a study by Klook, a company offering travel-oriented services. An almost equal proportion of participants also expressed a desire for climate-related notifications during their journeys.
"According to our study, the concept of 'peace of mind' is changing for today's traveler," stated Chuan Sheng Soong, the CEO of Klook Protect, the travel insurance branch of the company. "Travelers are not only seeking more engaging experiences but are also becoming increasingly aware of safety and security measures" to steer clear of scams, he further explained.
