Rising Demand for Natural Disaster and Scam Protection in Travel Insurance: Insights from Klook Survey
Travelers are looking for the optimal insurance to protect against natural disasters and fraud, as per a survey by Klook. The survey revealed that 38 percent of travelers are interested in travel insurance policies that cover losses resulting from natural disasters.
Approximately 38% of tourists are interested in insurance policies protecting them from losses due to disasters such as severe weather, as indicated by a study conducted by Klook, a company offering travel-related services. An almost equal portion of those surveyed also expressed a desire for weather-related warnings during their journeys.
"According to our studies, the concept of 'peace of mind' is changing for today's traveler," stated Chuan Sheng Soong, the head of Klook Protect, a travel insurance division. He added that although travelers are in search of more engaging experiences, they are also increasingly conscious about their safety and security to evade potential frauds.
