The Algarve International Circuit has secured its spot on the MotoGP schedule for 2025 and 2026 following the confirmation of a fresh two-year agreement.
MotoGP's only rider from Portugal, Miguel Oliveira, shared concerns that his local race could potentially be dropped from the schedule.
Any remaining uncertainty has been dispelled with MotoGP's confirmation that Portimao will remain on the calendar for an additional two years.
Pedro Machado, the State Secretary for Tourism, stated, "The MotoGP Grand Prix ranks among the globe's most prominent sports events, broadcast across over 200 regions and attracting an audience exceeding 500 million fans."
