Franco Morbidelli returned to leading form in the last practice session of the 2024 Indonesian MotoGP held at Mandalika.
On Friday morning, the session leader led by a margin of 0.167 seconds over Aprilia's Aleix Espargaro, with Marc Marquez finishing in third place.
Championship contenders Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin, who encountered a fall early in the session, finished among the top five.
Pedro Acosta and Takaaki Nakagami were the sole competitors to opt for the medium rear tire instead of the soft one during the entire session. This morning, Nakagami was equipped with Honda's latest aerodynamics.
Miguel Oliveira is missing due to a broken right wrist sustained during a highside incident on Friday morning.
The first qualifying session, set to commence for riders not among the Friday afternoon top ten – namely Johann Zarco, Alex Rins, Aleix Espargaro, Brad Binder, and Jack Miller – is now starting.
