The outcomes of the Friday practice session for the Indonesian MotoGP at Mandalika, marking the 15th round in the 2024 world championship series, have been released.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
* Novice
Mandalika MotoGP Official Records:
Fastest lap: Luca Marini with a time of 1 minute and 29.978 seconds (2023)
Quickest lap of the race: Enea Bastianini with a time of 1 minute and 30.906 seconds (2023)
Franco Morbidelli sets the pace in the first practice session for the 2024 Indonesian MotoGP at Mandalika.
The rider from Pramac Ducati ended 0.221 seconds ahead of Aprilia’s Maverick Vinales, with his team-mate Jorge Martin securing third place.
This weekend, Martin holds a 24-point lead over Francesco Bagnaia, following Bagnaia's crash during last Sunday's Emilia Romagna MotoGP, where he was the defending champion.
Bagnaia finished in 14th place this morning, but due to the dusty and slick track conditions, it's anticipated that lap times will improve considerably as the weekend progresses.
Miguel Oliveira was transported to the medical facility following a highside incident at Turn 4 and did not come back to the track.
Following an illness that caused him to miss Misano 2, Alex Rins returned to the track for Monster Yamaha earlier today.
