Jorge Martin Triumphs Amidst Controversy and Drama at the 2024 Indonesian MotoGP
Results of the 2024 Mandalika Indonesian MotoGP Race
The outcomes of the MotoGP race held in Mandalika, Indonesia, for the 15th round out of a total of 20 in the 2024 global championship.
Following the race, Pedro Acosta (2nd place), Brad Binder (8th place), and Takaaki Nakagami (11th place) were scrutinized for possibly having insufficient tire pressure.
Acosta has been absolved of any wrongdoing stemming from a 'leaking wheel rim,' and as of now, 'no measures will be implemented' regarding Binder and Nakagami.
"The FIM Stewards announced that the outcomes will be disclosed at the subsequent event, attributing the delay to the specifics of the post-race technical inspections."

Jorge Martin compensates for his earlier Sprint mishap by securing a start-to-finish win at the 2024 Indonesian MotoGP in Mandalika.
However, the Pramac Ducati competitor experienced unexpected challenges from newcomer Pedro Acosta during the mid-race, and it seemed likely that Enea Bastianini might have overtaken him.
The Italian rider made an impressive push, nearly closing the gap on Acosta, before suffering a fall at Turn 1 with 7 laps remaining.
Bastianini, Marco Bezzecchi, and the current titleholder Francesco Bagnaia found themselves stuck behind Martin’s colleague Franco Morbidelli for a significant portion of the race.
Bagnaia successfully overtook Morbidelli for the third position with five laps remaining, resulting in Martin, who broke his screen in excitement, extending his championship lead to 21 points.
Bastianini became the ninth competitor to not finish, joining Marc Marquez among others, whose Gresini bike experienced a fiery technical malfunction.
Martin surged forward at the start and, this time, successfully maneuvered around Turn 16 on the first lap.
Acosta, who was trailing, managed to overtake Bastianini to secure the second position. Initially, he couldn't keep up with Martin's pace for the first ten laps. However, as the race progressed, he found his rhythm and started to increase his lead, distancing himself from those competing for third place.
Beginning from the second row, Sprint victor Bagnaia experienced fluctuating wheelies from the outset and quickly found himself relegated to sixth position.
Maverick Vinales secured a solitary sixth place for Aprilia, followed by Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo, while Johann Zarco successfully reached his goal of finishing in the top ten for Honda.
Bezzecchi and his teammate from VR46, di Giannantonio, showcased a unique livery inspired by the Indonesian flag, featuring red and white colors.
Miguel Oliveira missed the event due to a broken right wrist, resulting from a highside accident on Friday morning, which occurred because the traction control system failed.
Updated regulations for 2024 stipulate that competitors are required to maintain a minimum front tyre pressure of 1.8 bar, down from 1.88, for at least 60% of a Grand Prix race distance, an increase from the previous 50%, or for 30% of a Sprint event.
If a driver does not achieve the required minimum in a Grand Prix, they will be penalized with an additional 16 seconds to their race time after the race ends. For a Sprint or shorter race, the penalty is reduced to 8 seconds.
The MotoGP event in Motegi, Japan, commences on Friday.
