**”Jorge Martin Fires Back at Pecco Bagnaia Amidst Sprint Race Crash Controversy”**
Jorge Martin responds to Pecco Bagnaia: “It’s easy to talk when things go well…”
Jorge Martin addresses his championship competitor's comments about his sprint race accident.
Jorge Martin shared his thoughts on Pecco Bagnaia’s breakdown of the crash that occurred during the Mandalika sprint race.
The Pramac Ducati racer secured the top spot in qualifying but unexpectedly fell during the initial laps of the Indonesian MotoGP race on Saturday.
He got back on his bike and completed the race in 10th place. However, Bagnaia secured the victory, narrowing the gap in the MotoGP standings to just 12 points behind Martin.
Bagnaia mentioned that during the first lap, he attempted to keep up with Jorge. He thought to himself that if Jorge narrowed the line, he would end up taking four seconds, as Jorge was going in too quickly.
"When I witnessed it, I pursued. The moment he went inside, he lost control of the front."
The pavement temperature was 63 degrees, making the task difficult.
"I felt that he came in with a lot of intensity. If we decide to end it, we need to keep up."
"He had an accident. It was difficult. I lost control of the front of my vehicle twice during the race."
Martin replied, "It's very simple for Pecco to claim that I was going too quickly!"
"I aim to be quick tomorrow and secure a victory by a margin of four seconds."
"My goal is to give it my all. I believe I have what it takes to succeed."
“It’s simple to talk when things have gone well…”
Martin claimed he is unaware of the specific reason for his accident: “Not at this moment. It's been a season full of ups and downs…
"I attempted to investigate the situation, but I believe I didn't do anything wrong. I simply had an accident."
I want to focus on the positives. I maintained a clear space consistently and managed to pass many riders starting from the last position.
Bagnaia remarked, "I was putting in maximum effort in the first three sectors. Sector four is not my strongest area."
“I widened the lead to manage the race from the front.”
Bagnaia plans to switch from soft to medium tires for the grand prix on Sunday.
He has not had good experiences with the media in Mandalika before.
However, Bagnaia is optimistic about turning things around: "Based on what we've learned, I believe it's possible. Though it's still early to tell…"
