Joe Roberts’ MotoGP Aspiration Faces Major Setback: Team Manager’s Hesitation Revealed
"Behind-the-scenes scoop" on significant obstacle American sensation Joe Roberts encounters in MotoGP aspiration
"All the pieces are in place except for one crucial element…"
Whispers circulating within the MotoGP paddock suggest potential difficulties for Joe Roberts.
The Moto2 sensation aims to be the sole American competitor in next season's MotoGP.
However, Aprilia's satellite initiative, Trackhouse, which transitioned to a US-supported team this year, faces a significant obstacle, making it the most probable choice for Roberts.
"Neil Hodgson from TNT Sports disclosed that all elements are present except for one crucial detail."
"We conducted an investigation into this matter, consulting with key individuals."
The problem Joe is facing, surprisingly enough, is with the team manager, Davide Brivio.
"I wouldn't claim that [Brivio] lacks enthusiasm. His vast expertise is precisely why Trackhouse recruited him – he's the expert they need."
"Trackhouse relies on Brivio for rider selection decisions."
"He's observing Joe and stating, 'when it comes to selecting the top cyclists for this team, there are several I would prioritize over Joe'."
To begin with, riders who have more experience.
I've heard he doesn't believe Joe is the right person for the position.
It's indisputable – Miguel Oliveira would stay ahead. With Oliveira having clinched five MotoGP victories, why would you consider sidelining him in favor of Roberts?
"Then have Jack Miller step in. Miller is currently unemployed and will take any opportunity that comes his way for transportation."
"Joan Mir? There's talk he'll certainly stick with Honda, and it's possible he will. But is Mir on the market? Is Alex Rins up for grabs?
"Handling the situation falls to Brivio, the manager at Trackhouse. That's the information I've received. It's not merely my viewpoint; it's the word on the inside."
Sylvain Guintoli maintains that Roberts has indeed earned the promotion to the top tier.
"Yes, I believe so," he remarked. "He brings a wealth of experience to the table, and this year, he's revealing new facets.
"He's performing excellently, delivering truly exceptional performances. He appears in good shape. If it's going to take place, the time is now. All the elements are in place for it to occur."
