Jack Miller Eyes Pramac Yamaha Switch Amid MotoGP Rule Changes and Team Reshuffles
Jack Miller emphasized the importance of timing and received support for a potential switch to Pramac Yamaha. "A rule change is imminent. Moreover, Yamaha is starting to show signs of regaining its competitive edge," he mentioned.
It has been suggested that Jack Miller's "vast experience" would be a good fit for the new Pramac Yamaha initiative.
Pramac’s choice to switch from Ducati to Yamaha for the next season has opened up fresh possibilities for the 2025 MotoGP rider roster.
Miller, no longer holding a position at KTM, has been included in a list of three potential riders by Pramac's owner Paolo Campinoti, who is evaluating his choices.
Neil Hodgson from TNT Sports advised Miller to go after the opportunity, stating that it promised a factory bike with complete financial backing from Yamaha.
“It seems logical for them to cover the riders' wages. It’s a reasonable decision."
"Timing is crucial. Yamaha is struggling but putting up a fight, whereas Honda is facing even greater difficulties and lacks clear direction."
Sylvain Guintoli commented that Jack and Miguel Oliveira would be valuable additions to that team.
Both individuals possess a wealth of experience.
KTM mentioned that Jack provided them with insights gained from Ducati, making him a valuable addition.
"An upcoming rule modification is anticipated. Meanwhile, Yamaha is beginning to show signs of regaining its competitive edge."
Pedro Acosta's elevation to the KTM factory team, along with the selection of Maverick Vinales and Enea Bastianini as the fresh faces at Tech3, signals that Miller's tenure with the manufacturer is nearing its end.
Nevertheless, he is acknowledged for enhancing the bike's performance during his two seasons with the team after transferring from Ducati.
Nevertheless, Miller has expressed dissatisfaction with the way KTM managed his departure.
He asserted that he had been assured of his retention, but just hours before Vinales and Bastianini were officially announced, he received a call notifying him of his dismissal.
"This isn't how you would like to be treated," Hodgson remarked.
"You accept people based on their outward appearance. And if someone informs you that you have employment…
"It's wonderful to have the security of a job, but then out of the blue, it's gone."
"His next destination remains uncertain. The big question is: where will he end up? There are open spots on Ducati, Honda, and Yamaha teams."
