Inside Scoop: Joe Roberts’ MotoGP Dream Hits Snag with Trackhouse Team and Manager Brivio
"Exclusive scoop: Significant challenge American talent Joe Roberts encounters in MotoGP aspirations. 'All elements are in place except for one crucial aspect…'"
Speculations emerging from within the MotoGP paddock might present an issue for Joe Roberts.
The Moto2 standout aims to be the sole American competitor in MotoGP next year.
However, a significant obstacle has emerged with Aprilia’s satellite project, Trackhouse, which rebranded as a US-supported team this year, making them seem like the most probable destination for Roberts.
"All the elements are present, but one crucial aspect is missing," disclosed Neil Hodgson of TNT Sports.
"We conducted an investigation by interviewing key individuals."
"The problem Joe is facing, surprisingly, is the team manager, Davide Brivio."
"I won’t claim that Brivio lacks enthusiasm. He has extensive experience and was brought into Trackhouse for that very reason."
"Trackhouse relies on Brivio to decide on the riders."
“He’s evaluating Joe and thinking, ‘if I have the option to select the top riders for this team, there are others I would prioritize over Joe.’
"Primarily, riders with more experience."
"He has doubts about Joe being the right person for the position, according to what I've heard."
"You can't dispute what I'm about to mention – you would prioritize Miguel Oliveira over him. Oliveira has secured victory in five MotoGP races. Would you replace Miguel with Roberts?"
"In that case, include Jack Miller. Since Miller is currently unemployed, he is willing to go anywhere for a chance to ride."
"Joan Mir? Many believe he is certain to remain with Honda, and he might. But is Mir an option? Is Alex Rins an option?"
According to the latest insider information, Brivio, the manager at Trackhouse, is the one responsible for handling the situation. This isn't based on my own views but rather what I've heard from sources.
Sylvain Guintoli asserts that Roberts truly merits the promotion to the top-tier category.
"Yes, I believe so," he stated. "He possesses a wealth of experience and, this year, he's revealing a new aspect of himself."
"He's performing exceptionally well, delivering outstanding rides. He appears to be in excellent form. If it's going to occur, it needs to be now. All the conditions are right for it to take place."
