Morgan-Olson has unveiled the C250e, a Class 2 van that incorporates Rivian's chassis and powertrain.
The C250e vehicle displayed at the exhibition is tailored for mail and package delivery. It comes with right-hand steering, sliding doors, a low-profile roof, and roll-up cargo doors.
Morgan-Olson claims that their van is built to be among the safest and most technologically sophisticated vehicles available. The C250e model includes features such as automatic emergency braking, a 360-degree camera system, and various driver assistance technologies. It boasts a range of 165 miles per charge.
Rivian has primarily been supplying vans to Amazon to fulfill a large order of 100,000 units. However, near the end of last year, Rivian revealed plans to sell its vans to other clients as well. This year, AT&T started receiving Rivian vans. According to Rivian's website, the company offers two models: the Delivery 500 and Delivery 700, but there is no distinct chassis cab option. The production timeline for the next-generation C250e remains uncertain.

Ford Pro includes Shyft Group in its upfitter initiative
The Shyft Group, known as one of the leading companies in the U.S. for modifying commercial trucks, has joined the Ford Pro Upfitter program. This membership allows Shyft to purchase an unlimited number of truck chassis from Ford to create specialized work vehicles. In contrast, companies not approved by Ford face restrictions on the number of chassis they can acquire.
According to Shyft representatives, Ford's chosen upfitters are required to adhere to stringent criteria established by the automaker, which encompass standards for compliance, quality, production, and customer service.
Currently, Shyft will be focusing on modifying work trucks, though their projects will also encompass police cars, RVs, and shuttle buses. The Ford chassis will be utilized by Shyft brands such as Utilimaster, Royal Truck Body, DuraMag, and Magnum.
Shyft CEO John Dunn expressed excitement in a statement, announcing the company's recognition as a Ford Pro Upfitter. He highlighted the importance of commercial upfitting to their business, emphasizing their pride in a unique design process tailored to enhance customization and driver satisfaction.
For many years, Shyft has relied on Ford chassis. They operate an upfitting facility near Ford's truck manufacturing plant in Kansas City.

Bollinger Motors, an electric vehicle commercial truck startup based near Detroit, has expanded its network by adding two new dealers. This move comes as the company prepares to introduce the B4, a Class 4 chassis cab that can travel up to 125 miles on a single charge.
During the event, Bollinger representatives announced that they have secured a partnership with Nacarato Truck Centers, a dealership chain with 10 branches across Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Tennessee, and Virginia. Additionally, Nuss Truck & Equipment has been named as another new dealer and will be offering the B4 model at their Minneapolis location.
Bollinger has now secured agreements with three dealerships as it prepares to start manufacturing. LaFontaine Automotive Group in Michigan became Bollinger's initial client earlier this year.
The B4, eligible for the federal $40,000 rebate for electric trucks, is set to be manufactured in Detroit by Roush Enterprises starting after June. While the cab of the B4 is produced in China, its chassis, powertrain, and various other parts are obtained from suppliers within the United States. Specifically, the B4 will feature an electric axle from Dana and will use lithium iron phosphate batteries produced by Our Next Energy, a company based in the suburbs of Detroit.
