On Thursday, EU lawmakers completed their suggestions for the European Union's stance at the forthcoming United Nations conference on women's rights, scheduled to take place in New York in March 2025.
Before the 69th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women, the European Parliament urged the EU to take the lead in ensuring women have equal opportunities across all aspects of life. The proposal received approval in a plenary session with 322 votes supporting it, 163 opposing, and 46 abstaining.
