The belief that only electric vehicles hail from China is being challenged, as there appears to be a subtle shift in the export strategy of Chinese automakers. Possibly in anticipation of potential EU tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles, an increasing number of brands are integrating combustion engine models into their lineup.
MG is making headlines with its MG3, along with the latest ZS and HS models. Similarly, GWM is broadening its range of offerings. By 2025, the Wey 03 won't be limited to its current plug-in hybrid option. That year, the engine options for the large SUV will grow to include new gasoline and full hybrid systems. However, specifics are still under wraps, with no further information available at this time.

Recent shifts in the European market have prompted GWM to restructure its operations within the region. To further tap into the European market, the Chinese conglomerate has now appointed Great Wall Motor Netherlands Sales B.V. (GWM NL) to oversee its business activities across Europe.

In a simultaneous move, the new replacement parts warehouse in Amsterdam, strategically located near major sea and air transport hubs, commenced operations in the third quarter of 2024. This move underscores GWM's commitment to elevating customer satisfaction and enhancing its dealer network's focus on service. With this new setup, GWM ensures improved availability and expedited distribution of spare parts, working closely with the expansive service networks of its associates.
