Valtteri Bottas suggests he's unpopular at Red Bull, casting doubt on potential 2025 move

Valtteri Bottas rules out the possibility of joining Red Bull for the 2025 Formula 1 season.

Valtteri Bottas believes he won't be considered as a potential choice for Red Bull in the 2025 Formula 1 season.

The 35-year-old driver from Finland finds himself without a team for the upcoming season following Sauber's decision to bring on board Gabriel Bortoleto, the current leader in the Formula 2 championship, to team up with the new recruit Nico Hulkenberg, in what will be the newly-formed Audi team's latest roster.

As Sergio Perez faces uncertainty at Red Bull due to his ongoing difficulties and lackluster performance next to teammate Max Verstappen, Bottas has emerged as a possible substitute for the beleaguered Mexican, offering a more seasoned alternative.

However, Bottas is skeptical about being genuinely taken into account, suggesting that he senses "a certain dislike towards me from some individuals within Red Bull."

"Bottas expressed to the media in Las Vegas, as reported by RacingNews365, his belief that he is not favored by certain individuals at Red Bull for reasons unknown to him."

"In my opinion, it doesn't seem like a viable choice."

General Motors is nearing a deal to become the 11th team in F1 by 2026, potentially leading to two additional spots available on the racing grid.

In response to inquiries about his willingness to race for the American automobile manufacturer, Bottas stated, “Certainly, it's a possibility!”

Bottas is anticipated to make a comeback to Mercedes in 2025, taking on the position of a reserve driver. During his tenure from 2017 to 2021 with Mercedes, he achieved victory in 10 grand prix races over a span

Mercedes leader Toto Wolff acknowledged in Las Vegas that Bottas's return to the Silver Arrows is inevitable.

"Wolff mentioned to Viaplay, 'Although no agreement has been finalized or confirmed, having him rejoin our team would certainly bring us immense happiness.'"

"One could argue that having the chance to welcome Valtteri, a pilot of his caliber, back into the Mercedes fold, especially given his up-to-date experience with contemporary vehicles, is an incredibly fortunate position to be in."

"It's often said humorously towards the end of negotiations that lawyers seem to aim to break deals! But in jest, they are indeed excellent attorneys, and it's all about timing."

"When Marc Marquez expressed his enjoyment of the motorcycle, it was a huge weight off my shoulders!"

"Witnessing the outcome of efforts that started several months prior brought about an unparalleled feeling of joy."

Marc Marquez's satisfaction with the 2025 Ducati brought reassurance to the company's top executives.

The move to incorporate Marquez into Ducati's factory team for the upcoming season ultimately led to the departure of Jorge Martin, Enea Bastianini, and Marco Bezzecchi, with the Pramac satellite team also parting ways.

This implies that Ducati's gamble on Marquez for the upcoming year carries significant risk.

"Mauro Grassilli, Ducati's sporting director, conveyed to Marca during the post-season MotoGP test that, despite not being a technician, the aim was to understand his initial impressions."

Upon stepping into the garage, his initial remark was, "I'm fond of the motorcycle". This statement brought me a sense of comfort…

Right from the start, our focus was on integrating him into the team. During discussions with his representative, we aimed to reach consensus on various aspects, including sponsorship deals.

"Witnessing the outcome of efforts that started several months earlier was a truly special feeling. Observing him on the track and having him in the pit with us evoked a profound sense of joy."

Marquez's debut in red marked the beginning of his adventure with Pecco Bagnaia, the leading rider for the official Ducati team.

Armed with identical top-tier MotoGP bikes, Bagnaia and Marquez are both setting their sights on clinching the championship in the coming year.

It places additional focus on how Ducati handles their aspirations.

However, the initial day shared by Bagnaia and Marquez within the same team space went smoothly without any issues.

"Grassilli observed them engaging in conversation, noting how they exchanged emotions and discovered a mutual sentiment towards the bicycle."

"Both individuals are experts in their field, and it might seem odd to acknowledge this known fact, but it's our desire to have both athletes work collaboratively to enhance the motorcycle's performance and promote the team's success."

"Observing their conversation on the initial day, an event not to be assumed, and witnessing their exchange and collective clarity, aligning thoughts on the bike, marked the initial acknowledgment of the efforts we are beginning to undertake."

"When the team's key figures, namely the riders, share a common goal that we're aiming for, I am confident that while it may not always be straightforward, the upcoming year will indeed be a pleasant journey."

For ten years, James covered a wide range of sports, including American sports, football, and Formula 1, as a sports reporter for Sky Sports.

Ducati’s GP25 Closely Matches GP24’s Performance, Pirro Reveals Ahead of Sepang Test

Michele Pirro: Ducati GP25 and GP24 "Remarkably Similar"

"Pirro believes making significant progress from the GP23 to GP24 is challenging."

In a statement that's sure to uplift the Ducati MotoGP satellite teams, Michele Pirro, the factory test rider, mentioned that the GP24 and the newly introduced GP25 models are nearly identical in terms of their performance levels.

However, he also cautioned that Ducati is set to enhance the latest prototype before the upcoming official trial, scheduled to take place in Sepang, Malaysia this coming February.

Alex Marquez propelled the GP24 to the pinnacle of the timesheets at the Barcelona MotoGP Test, marking his first outing with the bike during the post-race test session.

Ducati team racers Francesco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez secured the third and fourth quickest times on the prototype GP25.

Pirro, filling in as a substitute rider for VR46 at the season's final race weekend, took to the track on a GP23 to test the new motorcycle through several laps.

"Pirro mentioned that it was quite intriguing to transition to using bike number 23-25 without trying out bike 24 first. Nevertheless, he noted that the GP25 represents a notable advancement over the 2023 model."

"The difference between 25 and 24 is minimal. It's akin to making a slight advancement in one aspect, only to find ourselves losing time in another."

"I am optimistic that during these two months, we can enhance [the 25] slightly and progress further in the Sepang test."

"However, I believe making a significant improvement, especially from 23 to 24, is challenging. It's an intriguing and worthwhile challenge, yet it's far from easy!"

Since joining Ducati as a test rider in 2013, Pirro has witnessed the team's journey from its struggles to clinching the MotoGP championship for the last three years.

"Pirro expressed his delight over Ducati's championship victories in the past three years. However, he acknowledged the challenges of enhancing performance at such a high level, particularly this year's standard."

"It's complicated. However, we'll find out in time. Maintaining a winning streak is crucial. Next year, there will be two fewer riders [on Ducatis] than the current year, yet the factory team boasts two champions. Additionally, Fabio di Giannantonio will be racing with bike number 25."

"I'm looking forward to the Ducatis maintaining their high performance into next year."

Due to undergoing shoulder surgery, di Giannantonio will have to postpone his first appearance in GP25, now scheduled for February at the Sepang circuit.

Currently, due to Ducati's A concession status, Pirro is not permitted to participate in any wild-card events until a concession reassessment occurs, anticipated by mid-2025.

For two decades, Peter has witnessed the ebb and flow of the paddock, including Valentino Rossi's rise and departure. He's also leading the coverage on Suzuki's withdrawal and Marc Marquez's battle with injuries.

Jorge Martin’s Stunning MotoGP Title Triumph: A Testament to Ducati’s Unwavering Support Despite Future Uncertainties

Published

on

By

"Everyone here was taken aback" by Ducati's decision to allow Jorge Martin to claim victory

After securing the MotoGP championship, Jorge Martin expresses his gratitude towards Ducati.

After Jorge Martin inked a deal with Aprilia following the Mugello event, it came as a reaction to Marc Marquez securing a spot with Ducati's official MotoGP team for the upcoming season. This move led to widespread speculation that it could significantly hamper, or even derail, his prospects of contending for the MotoGP

In keeping with its promise, Ducati provided unwavering support to the Pramac racer throughout the season, culminating in him outscoring the brand's current champion, Francesco Bagnaia, by a margin of ten points.

"Martin pointed out, 'Ducati was crucial. Even though they had no plans for me next season, they still equipped me with everything I needed to compete.'"

"Gigi Dall'Igna had a lot of faith in me from the time I joined Moto2. However, life's situations can evolve, and… that's the reason I never made it to that [factory Ducati] team. But that's how life is.

“The crucial factor was their willingness to allow me to [compete on the same level] – I owe a big thanks to [Ducati CEO] Claudio Domenicali because I believe no one in this [media briefing] space anticipated that they would permit me to [achieve victory].

"They allowed me to engage in battle, and I deeply appreciate it."

In 2024, it wasn't the initial instance of Ducati bypassing Martin for a prime position, as he had earlier missed the opportunity to Enea Bastianini for the premier seat towards the end of 2022.

"2021 was incredible," Martin expressed, reflecting on his debut season where he triumphed over severe injuries to secure his initial victory in a premier-class grand prix.

"People had high hopes, viewing Martin as the upcoming sensation. However, 2022 proved to be a challenging year professionally. The motorcycle faced performance issues, particularly with the engine, leading to difficulties for him."

"Ducati faced significant pressure and was compelled to decide on signing Bastianini for the 2023 season."

Martin chose to stay with Pramac, still receiving support from the manufacturer.

The Spanish racer continued to challenge Bagnaia for the championship up until the last race of the previous season, later achieving a historic milestone by becoming the first independent team rider to clinch the MotoGP title this year.

“At no point was my aim to disprove Ducati, my focus was solely on my own performance and that of my team. I believe it was this decision regarding Bastianini that led to my victory with Pramac,” he stated.

"Perhaps in the official team, it could have unfolded as it did for Enea… I'm uncertain. It might not have been the right fit for me. Such is life, and I'm pleased that I secured the victory with Pramac."

"This is the ideal location for my victory, and they merit it even more than I do."

During his inaugural run with Aprilia at the Barcelona MotoGP Test, Martin secured the eleventh fastest time, lagging by 1.056 seconds, as Pramac gears up to embark on a fresh chapter with Yamaha in the coming year.

For two decades, Peter has been a fixture in the racing circuit, witnessing the rise and retirement of Valentino Rossi. He's currently leading the coverage on Suzuki's departure from the scene and Marc Marquez's struggles with injuries.

Former motorcycle racer embarks on a six-year barefoot journey to Pakistan in search of God

A one-time Grand Prix competitor now embraces a vastly altered way of life

Axel Pons is perhaps best known for his contributions to the Moto2 World Championship, yet the Spanish racer has recently made an appearance in a rather unexpected place.

Pons, a racer with a decade-long career in Grand Prix motorcycle competitions spanning from 2008 to 2017 and achieving a top finish of sixth place at the 2016 Moto2 Italian Grand Prix, has made an appearance in Pakistan.

In a clip shared on the Pakistan Tourism YouTube channel, Pons is captured strolling down a street and informs his videographers that he has been journeying barefoot for six years.

In a new upload on the Wahaj Ali.B YouTube channel, we see him seated and engaging in conversation first with a young child and subsequently with the individual recording the video. Initially, when questioned about his name, he responds with “Isa,” before correcting himself to state that he was originally named Axel.

"I have a lengthy tale to share, but to sum it up, three years back, I chose to let go of everything heavy and simply carry a backpack to journey by foot," he shared with the young one.

"Approximately a year and three months back, when I sensed it was the right time, I made up my mind to begin my journey heading eastward, in the direction of the rising sun. That has been my pursuit over the past year, and it has been a wonderful experience."

In response to inquiries about his origins, Pons stated, "My roots are in Allah, although I came into the world in Barcelona, Spain."

Pons mentioned that his shift from motorcycle racing to a new phase in life occurred as he started to doubt the purpose behind the racing world.

"At a certain moment, I began to wonder what the purpose was of leading such a hurried existence," he expressed.

"I began to reduce my pace, more and more, until presently, I find myself strolling leisurely, taking the time to savor the nuances of existence."

During his pedestrian trek from Spain to Asia, Pons remarked, "It's quite ordinary; it just felt right. Eventually, walking became the most logical choice, a way to release all the burdens collected throughout our lives, seeking a profound connection with Allah or God.

"We practice through the act of walking."

In August 2024, Alex became a part of the Crash.net team after spending two years at Visordown, where he reported on both consumer and racing motorcycle news.

Lando Norris Sets Sights on Dethroning ‘Perfect’ Verstappen in F1 2025 Championship Race

Lando Norris Confident of Outperforming ‘Flawless’ Max Verstappen in F1 2025

Lando Norris is optimistic about his chances to challenge the recently acclaimed F1 world champion, Max Verstappen, in the upcoming season.

Lando Norris believes he has what it takes to compete against and triumph over Max Verstappen in the next F1 world championship.

The McLaren racer's minimal chances of securing his first world championship were dashed in Las Vegas, where he came in sixth, just one spot behind Red Bull's Verstappen, who clinched his fourth consecutive world championship title.

Norris remarked that Verstappen's driving was flawless all through 2024, and he truly earned the world championship title with two races to spare.

"Huge congratulations to him. He's earned it," Norris commented. "He's been flawless, essentially, throughout the entire year. That's his power, he has no flaws… he has no drawbacks. He has no negatives.

Whenever he's had the fastest vehicle, he's taken command of the races. Even when he doesn't have the fastest car, he's consistently right on our tail, nearly clinching victories regardless.

"He hasn't shown any weaknesses. Throughout the entire year, he hasn't had any poor performances. His lowest finish was around fifth place. He's consistently performed in the impeccable manner we've come to expect from Max. There's simply no area where he's faltered."

However, the young British racer, aged 25, is confident that he and his squad will be in a stronger position to present a tougher competition next year, having taken the championship battle to the last several rounds of the season.

"I believe I have the capability to contend for a championship, and I'm content, feeling assured in saying so," he continued. "I possess the necessary skills, and I'm convinced within myself that I do."

"There are definitely areas I need to improve on, but I'm confident in my ability to compete with Max. I'm proud to acknowledge that, especially considering I view Max as the top driver globally, and likely one of the greatest to have ever competed in Formula 1."

Some might not see eye to eye with me, but it's uncommon for me to feel this certain. Therefore, the idea of challenging him and engaging in a direct competition is something I really appreciate and take pleasure in.

"In two or three decades, I imagine reflecting on how much I competed against such a formidable opponent. So, yes, I'm pleased for him. He's earned the title, but I'm aiming to give him a tougher challenge in the upcoming year."

Piastri Reflects on Las Vegas GP: McLaren’s Loss to Ferrari Less Severe Than Anticipated

Published

on

By

"Things might have turned out more unfavorably" – Oscar Piastri anticipated a larger advantage for Ferrari in Las Vegas.

"Obviously, it's not perfect that they've managed to increase their points over us, but we were prepared for a potentially worse outcome."

Oscar Piastri believed that McLaren would have faced a greater setback compared to Ferrari in the F1 constructors' standings at the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Ferrari managed to secure only the third and fourth positions as Mercedes unexpectedly bounced back in Sin City.

Mercedes secured a commanding first and second place finish, with George Russell leading the race from start to finish from the pole position.

Teammate Lewis Hamilton secured a second-place finish after advancing through the field from a 10th position start on the grid.

McLaren faced a challenging weekend, securing the sixth and seventh spots with drivers Lando Norris and Piastri.

With just two races remaining, McLaren holds a 24-point advantage in the constructors' standings.

After the race, Piastri acknowledged that Ferrari's advancement in the championship standings "might not have been as bad."

"Piastri mentioned, as cited on F1's official site, 'We anticipated that this circuit might present more challenges for us and expected Ferrari to put up a strong performance.'"

"Obviously, it's not perfect that they've managed to score some points ahead of us, but we anticipated that the situation might have been more dire."

"Looking ahead, the remainder of the year appears to be quite challenging, but we're optimistic that the upcoming weekend in Qatar will be favorable for us."

Piastri experienced a challenging weekend.

Norris significantly outperformed him in the race, and his prospects for a superior outcome were hindered due to a five-second penalty he received for a premature start.

"I hadn't realized I had moved so far up, but it seems I did. I don't believe it made much of a difference," he further stated.

"Indeed, it complicated the initial and middle segments of the race somewhat, but I don't believe it had an impact on the outcome. We simply lacked speed, so there are definitely some aspects we need to examine."

Charles Leclerc Issues a Veiled Criticism Towards Ferrari Cohort Carlos Sainz, Sending a Warning to the Entire F1 Field for 2024.

Charles Leclerc has made a critical comment towards his Ferrari colleague Carlos Sainz after the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Leclerc's frustration arose when Sainz passed him soon after they both made their second pit stops, even though Ferrari had informed Leclerc that the team had instructed the Spanish driver to remain in his rear.

Leclerc has cautioned Sainz, who is departing Ferrari for Williams in the upcoming season, that in the last two races, his focus will solely be on his own performance as he aims to surpass Lando Norris for the second spot in the drivers' standings.

"Leclerc expressed dissatisfaction with Carlos but chose not to elaborate, according to comments made to Sky Italia and reported by PlanetF1."

"Why do I say this? It's because we have discussions about such matters prior to the race, yet I find myself to be the sole individual who adheres to those pacts. Moving forward, I will solely prioritize my own interests.

"It's unfortunate that I wasn't able to score higher than Norris."

Leclerc shared with the press in Vegas, stating, "I believed I was managing well, but suddenly, from one turn to the next, my lap time dropped by three seconds, which was utterly insane.

"Indeed, the outcome was unexpected for us and resulted in significant losses. However, we demonstrated strength on the Hard, yet, despite this, it only sufficed to secure the third and fourth positions."

Leclerc is trailing McLaren's Norris by 21 points in the drivers' rankings, with just two races left in the season.

In the meantime, within the constructors' standings, Ferrari has reduced McLaren's lead to just 24 points.

The iconic number previously sported by Kimi Raikkonen will return to the F1 circuit in 2025

The Australian racer will join Alpine for the upcoming season, taking over Esteban Ocon's spot to team up with Pierre Gasly, and will compete under the #7 for his first season.

This was the identifier Raikkonen chose to race under from 2014 to 2021. According to Formula 1 regulations, the number belonging to the champion of 2007 can now be adopted by other racers.

In the 2019 Euroformula Open Championship, Doohan competed under the number 7 but initially had plans to race with the number 12 in 2025.

Nonetheless, this figure has been claimed by Mercedes' rising star, Andrea Kimi Antonelli.

"Number seven is set to be my racing number for 2025. I'm extremely excited," Doohan expressed in an Alpine-released video.

"I was keen on selecting a number that I had previously competed with, one that held significance for me. In 2019, I competed under the number seven."

"Additionally, Kimi Raikkonen, who I greatly admire both as an individual and as a racer, also competed under that number. He's someone very dear to me."

"I'm excited to carry it forward and personalize it. And definitely, hoping to draw some good fortune from number seven."

Antonelli, set to take over from seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes, announced during the Italian Grand Prix that he had selected #12 as his fixed F1 number.

"I'll go with twelve," he declared. "There are numerous numbers I favor, yet twelve holds a unique place for me, partly due to an idol. Since my F4 days, it's been my choice. Things have always turned out well with twelve. Therefore, there's no need to switch it up for the upcoming year."

The Australian racer is set to join Alpine for the upcoming season, taking over Esteban Ocon's spot to pair up with Pierre Gasly, and will compete under the #7 for his debut season.

The digit once sported by Raikkonen from 2014 to 2021 is now up for grabs. According to the regulations of F1, the number belonging to the champion of 2007 can now be adopted by other competitors.

Doohan, who competed under the number 7 during the 2019 Euroformula Open Championship, initially had the desire to race with number 12 in the year 2025.

Nonetheless, the figure has been claimed by Mercedes' rising star, Andrea Kimi Antonelli.

"In a video posted by Alpine, Doohan expressed his excitement, stating, 'Number seven is going to be my racing number in 2025. I'm incredibly thrilled about it.'"

"I was keen on selecting a number that I had previously raced with, one that held significance for me. Back in 2019, I competed with the number seven."

"Additionally, one of my heroes, the incredibly unique and talented racer, Kimi Raikkonen, also competed under that same number."

"I'm excited about carrying it forward and putting my personal touch on it. And indeed, hoping to catch some good fortune from number seven."

Antonelli, set to take over from the seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes, disclosed during the Italian Grand Prix that he had selected #12 as his enduring number in F1.

"He stated he'd choose 12, explaining his fondness for various numbers, yet 12 holds a unique place for him, partly due to an idol. He mentioned he's adopted it since his F4 days. The number 12 has consistently brought him good fortune, so he sees no need to switch it up for the upcoming year."

Mercedes’ Unexpected Triumph in Las Vegas Lights Path to 2025 F1 Car Development

'Unusual' superiority may assist Mercedes in uncovering solutions for their 2025 F1 vehicle

Mercedes optimistic that their commanding performance in Las Vegas will benefit the development of their 2025 Formula 1 car.

Mercedes feels their unexpected control over the Las Vegas Grand Prix might assist in uncovering solutions to enhance the reliability of their F1 2025 vehicle.

Following a period of limited success since the summer hiatus, Mercedes surprisingly took the lead in Las Vegas with George Russell finishing ahead of Lewis Hamilton, marking the team's first one-two finish since the Brazil race in 2022.

The victory marked Mercedes' fourth for the season, yet it was their initial win since the Belgian Grand Prix, which took place in late July. Toto Wolff, the head of Mercedes, believes that the cooler weather conditions in Vegas were a significant factor in their impressive performance.

"Wolff elaborated, indicating that the chilly conditions have a direct connection to their areas of strength."

"We've shown strength at Silverstone, demonstrated our prowess in Spa, and now here in Las Vegas. It seems to be about maintaining the car's optimal performance zone and keeping the tyres within their ideal operating range."

"The data demonstrates that the vehicle has the potential for exceptional speed. There were moments when George was exerting full effort, and we managed to surpass our rivals by as much as two seconds. Throughout the remainder of the day, he simply focused on controlling his speed."

He further explained, "Losing grip in warm conditions causes you to frequently veer off course. However, in this situation, losing grip actually aided in maintaining higher temperatures at that moment."

"It's evident that certain teams thrive in colder conditions and significantly enhance their performance. Conversely, there are teams that excel when the weather is warmer."

"In Singapore, for instance, the McLarens were in complete control, essentially dominating the race at their own pace. Therefore, finding a balance for the coming year is crucial."

Wolff remarked it was "odd" that Mercedes didn't experience the graining problems that affected several of their competitors, particularly Ferrari.

"We had the ability to accelerate at any moment. There wasn't any phase of tire degradation, not on the medium, nor on the hard compound," he mentioned. "Charles tried several times to challenge George, who defended brilliantly.

"It's uncertain what the result might have been, however, Leclerc couldn't maintain his speed and dropped off [the cliff] after several laps. There was no visible indication of either graining or wear on his tires."

Wolff states that the information gathered from Vegas will play a key role in aiding Mercedes to identify the present shortcomings of the W15.

"He emphasized the significance of this outcome," he remarked. "There are variations during the weekend, and typically, you can observe that we've performed well here [in practice], and then there were times we didn't do as well in that particular session.

"In every meeting we had, we found ourselves leading the pack. This gave us a wealth of valuable information, enabling us to identify our optimal performance zone. Now, the challenge lies in figuring out how to consistently achieve this level of success."

Agreement Reached for General Motors/Cadillac to Join F1 as the Eleventh Team

Liberty Media, F1, the FIA, and General Motors Finalize Agreement

Cadillac, with backing from General Motors, is set to join Formula 1 in 2026.

General Motors is set to provide engines as a supplier in the future.

An announcement from Formula 1 stated: "Today, Formula 1 confirmed that a preliminary agreement has been made with General Motors (GM) with the aim of introducing GM/Cadillac as the eleventh team to the Formula 1 lineup in 2026."

Greg Maffei, the leader of Liberty Media, expressed: "As Formula 1 expands further into the US market, we've consistently held the view that introducing a renowned American brand such as GM/Cadillac to the lineup, and having GM as a forthcoming supplier of power units, could enhance the appeal and value of the sport."

The advancements General Motors and their associates have made in preparing to join Formula 1 are largely attributed to their leadership.

"We are thrilled to progress with the application steps for the GM/Cadillac group to join the Championship in 2026."

Stefano Domenicali, the head of Formula 1, stated, "The dedication of General Motors and Cadillac to this initiative signifies a crucial and favorable step in our sport's development.

"We are eager to witness the development and expansion of this initiative, confident in the complete cooperation and backing from everyone participating."

Mohammed Ben Sulayem, the head of the FIA, stated: “General Motors stands as a colossal brand worldwide and a dominant force in the OEM industry, collaborating with notable partners. I wholeheartedly back the endeavors of the FIA, Formula 1, GM, and the involved team in keeping conversations going and moving forward with a preliminary agreement aimed at introducing a GM/Cadillac branded team into the lineup for the 2026 FIA Formula One World Championship.

"Every group involved, such as the FIA, will collaborate to guarantee a seamless advancement of the process."

Mark Reuss, the President of General Motors, expressed, "F1 represents the zenith of racing, requiring the utmost in innovation and superior performance. It's a privilege for General Motors and Cadillac to become part of the elite racing league, and we pledge to engage with fervor and honesty to enhance the experience for racing enthusiasts globally.

"This presents an international platform for showcasing GM's superior engineering skills and technological supremacy in an unprecedented way."

Dan Towriss, the chief executive officer at TWG Global's racing division, expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with General Motors to introduce an energetic force into the Formula 1 arena.

"We're uniting to build an elite group that represents the essence of American creativity, aiming to provide memorable experiences to racing enthusiasts globally. We're grateful for the backing of our application by the FIA and FOM, acknowledging the significant contribution we can offer to the championship."

Regarding Andretti:

The racing squad managed by Michael Andretti, the offspring of former Formula 1 titleholder Mario Andretti, has been striving for a significant period to secure a spot on the starting lineup.

The FIA gave its approval to Andretti, however, Formula 1 declined their entry, stating it would not benefit the current 10 teams.

Michael Andretti sought support from the US Congress to emerge victorious in his endeavor.

However, he has since relinquished his leadership role, paving the way for Dan Towriss to emerge as the primary senior figure.

Towriss has collaborated with General Motors, marking a significant advancement in their journey towards Formula 1.

For ten years, James served as a sports reporter for Sky Sports, where he reported on a wide range of sports including American sports, soccer, and Formula 1.
