In the closely contested North East Fife district during this election, the battle isn't simply between the traditional red and blue; nuances of yellow are also in play.
In 2017, the Scottish National Party (SNP) narrowly secured victory in this constituency by a margin of only two votes over the Scottish Liberal Democrats, making it the most narrowly contested seat in the UK at that moment.
In 2019, the Liberal Democrats captured the seat from the SNP, securing one of their four Scottish parliamentary positions.
Today, the road leading to Anstruther's waterfront is adorned with Lib Dem posters.

"Tourists play a significant role in our community," comments Tom Cooper, a six-year veteran in the whisky gift shop business.
Several famous personalities have also made appearances.
"In the summer months, we see as many as eight or nine tourist buses daily," he says. "Without this influx, we couldn't sustain ourselves."
He enjoys receiving deliveries right at his doorstep, yet the brief duration of the tourist season does little to alleviate the challenges of the off-season.

Parts of the Glenrothes shopping center are now abandoned.
"Someone remarks, "It's been in that state for around six years," while we observe the crumbling edges of the structure and the worn-out signs of the stores.
This district reports some of the highest rates of child poverty.
"Individuals are facing hardships; a significant number remain unemployed," business proprietor Chris Lewis shared with us.
Chris operates a trio of eateries including an ice cream shop, a fish and chips joint, and a seaside dining establishment.
"He emphasizes the importance of employment, stating that it's essential to help people return to jobs that offer fair pay."
"It's my hope that everyone can secure employment, enabling all individuals to work diligently and reduce reliance on welfare."
Chris mentions that previous commitments have let him down.
"In this region, whether it's controlled by the Lib Dems or the SNP, it appears to me that they consistently fail to meet expectations."

Chris remarks, "There are so many promises being made, and it feels like it's time for a change. Can someone else step up and do more for our nation? Our region relies heavily on tourism, and we simply can't afford to see it decline. If Scotland loses its appeal, then we've really failed."
The prevailing national discourse and survey results are influencing his emotions.
It's surprising for me to admit, but I'm starting to consider the Labour Party. I believe they might contribute more positively to the nation than their competitors.
"Yet, whom can you trust? Promises are plentiful, but when it's time to see how many are fulfilled, typically, there are scarcely any."
Throughout the day, we've encountered individuals in this constituency who plan to support Reform, SNP, and Labour.
