2025 Kia EV9 Sees $700 Price Hike Amid Steady Popularity and Recall Alerts
The 2025 Kia EV9, a three-row electric SUV, continues into its next year of production with no significant updates but sees a $700 hike in the cost for the Light Long Range variant.
The starting cost of the 2025 Kia EV9 is $56,225, which includes the compulsory $1,325 fee for delivery, for its Light Standard Range variant that comes equipped with a 76.1-kWh battery. If you opt for the Light Long Range, you get a bigger 99.8-kWh battery, and the price rises to $61,225, destination fee included. Both versions of the Light model feature a rear-wheel drive setup powered by a single motor. The Light Standard Range offers 215 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque with the smaller battery, while the Long Range version delivers 201 horsepower.

The remaining models include the Wind, priced at $65,225, the Land at $71,225, and the GT-Line at $75,225, all equipped with the more substantial battery and a dual-motor all-wheel drive system. Each of the all-wheel drive variants boasts a power output of 379 horsepower. However, the GT-Line stands out with its torque enhanced from the usual 443 pound-feet to 516 pound-feet, resulting in a quicker acceleration time that takes it from 0 to 60 mph in a swift 5.0 seconds, on par with a performance sports car.
The maximum distance the Light Long Range can travel on a single charge, as assessed by the EPA, remains at 304 miles. The Light versions with a less powerful battery have a reduced range of 230 miles, whereas the Wind and Land versions can go up to 280 miles. The GT-Line versions feature bigger wheels which result in a reduction of their range by 10 miles.
